My new monitor has a red line going through it, any way to fix?

Either a firmware update can fix this or your monitor is defective. Return it for another one. Or follow the RMA process.

Yeah, returning it for a refund. Newegg customer service chat was a bitch. They kept saying the red line wasn't bad enough so I had to take more pictures on dark backgrounds, lol. Getting full refund though and no restocking fee... buying from Amazon next time, they have no questions asked return process from my past experience, heh.

My 46" Toshiba also has a red line across like yours. It's a 2007 model. After when the LCD warms up it disappears.
Also I had no issues with newegg before. I even purchased my ASUS 24" LED monitor from them. But sometimes uneducated and underpaid disgruntled customer service can be a birch.

mine has been on for hours, still there, but the top 3 inches does dissapear

i cant stand 27" on small desk i really love 1440p, but i sit about 9 inches to 13 inches away from my monitor at all times, 27" is just overwhelming big to me.

Hey, that's about to change...as soon as I get my pc back up and running. These things always take longer than one thinks, and if I had thought it through before wasting time and money on a foolish endeavor, I'd be up and running already. Now I have some parts coming that I no longer need, oh well.

Im thinking I'll be back to good by Friday, as long as everything works. Last time I completely ripped apart my pc, my gpu died. (extremely coincidental)
