Hi guys,
I want to build my first gaming rig, I have never done it before and dont know much about the best way of choosing components and whether they are compatible with each other. In a "pc building" website I came out with the following specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake CLP0564 101.6 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: A-Data S599 64GB 2.5" Solid State Disk + Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Videocard: Sapphire Toxic HD 7970 GHz Edition 6 GB
Soundcard: Asus Xonar D1 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card
Wireless: Asus PCE-N15 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter
Powersupply Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W 80 PLUS Silver Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Optical drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
Case: Lanboy Air Red
I also have the dilemma of whether I should go on and build a nice pc or whether I should stick to the next gen consoles and save lots of money upgrading it, also how long do you think a pc would last with the mentioned specs?
Thanks a lot, any comments are welcome.
