I would like to fly around with some tpu guys. It would be cool. Just needs a little organization about it for it to happen. Maybe once, or every other week on a certain night if there is enough content to warrant such amount of play.

Update is happening right now. Gladiator is in for flight. You can now use the turrets of your friends ship by entering the ship in free fly mode. I'll be playing tonight if anyone wants to join. I think they're going to sell the Super Hornet and the Gladiator again for a limited time. Hopefully they'll have the Gladiator for rent with REC.

Oh, if you have the R&Y hangar, check it out! They changed the lighting and it looks amazing... way better and more realistic looking.

If you haven't updated for a while (pre 1.1.0), just uninstall/delete everything and wait for the patch to hit. They're in the middle of doing maintenance now.

Will do. It's 9:25pm here anyway, and my ISP says "15/12 Mb/s" in their ad. (Hint: It's always 11.99. Artificial limitations) At night they do "maintenance" always at 2-4am that brings it down to <2Mb/s

I have used the TIR since the 2nd one came out and believe this idea with a webcam is possible how ever since the TIR 2 3 \Pro\4 i have owned i have never respected more than NP as their support has been top notch a long with the gear i have had of them.

Sure they cost a bit but they are worth every penny.

I have had my TIR4 since release and still use it today.

There are still connection issues that CIG are working on. This patch did include a lot of re-done networking code but it looks like they've missed something. Current patch plans are:

• Alpha 1.1.1 – Today’s Update (Primarily Arena Commander improvements)
• Alpha 1.1.2 – Code Stability bug fix patch for Pre-Star Marine
• Alpha 1.2.0 – Star Marine (FPS module)
• Alpha 1.3.0 – Social Module

well i finally won a AMD Raptr (forgot to add it was a Raptr), radeon Silver reward (never settle), and on the list of AAA and indies that were possible, only Murdered Soul Suspect and that ship for SC were catching my attention ...

1. it's red and black ... my rig is red and black ... coincidence ? i don't think so ...

2. AMD R9 and a racer ... my GPU is a R9 290 ... and quite the racer(even after 2yrs) coincidence ? i don't think so ...

3. i always wanted to play Star Citizen but i completely forgot about it, i can't remember why although... so that reward came just in the right moment, Coincidence ? i don't th... WAITAMINUTE RSI AND AMD WHERE SPYING ON ME??!! no... i am not paranoid... ok .... that one is maybe a coincidence ... (yeah yeah i know i have tissues ... aherm issues i mean...)

edit for the win:
did the basic tutorial, pretty fun actually ...
did enter in a free flight session because i wanted to roam around and no fight ... but people are sooo nice a guy with a Aegis Gladius chase every ships that enter the session, wasn't aware of that and when i went on menu to check advanced commands : "boom", lucky for me the Mustang is more maneuverable and faster so i could enjoy a bit of free flight in the end.

can't wait to see how the game will develop

sidenote ... the Gladius remember me the YSS-1000 Sabre from Halo Reach¨

well ... i have to say i rarely enjoyed a alpha stage game ... but SC is a exception it give the sandbox feeling of eve online but seen from a fighter/fighter-bomber launched from a Mom (ofc not as deep as eve online but it still give the feeling i wanted from Eve if i had direct flight controls ... who said "Eve Online: Valkyrie" ... )

well so far so good ... got tired to being chased in a Racer so i decided to throw a pledge and got the Aegis Avenger a bit slower but bigger teeth (plus the satisfaction to throw a bit of cash in a game that already have several ten of million in backing up ... )

Quick news update for those not paying close attention to the website or subreddit:

Last couple of patches have really improved loading performance for the game, and we're getting much closer to the FPS launch with the new backend re-write included so hopefully the game will become much more viable for playing regularly for me. There's no hard date on the FPS release yet but it won't be too long (I'd expect it to hit before mid June).

As for ships it's a free fly week for all mustangs and auroras so you can go try all of them out. We have the 3rd and final starter ship being sold within next 2 weeks for $50 - will come with LTI and is not being sold as a package yet but it is a 2 seater starter by MISC. Starfarer sale went well with the Gemini for sale with LTI and the lesser standard starfarer being sold without. We're looking at a new ship sale every 2 weeks at the moment which I suspect is planned out to get the game to the 100 million mark this year.

Filming in London for the Squadren 42 mocap is said to be going well (Chris Roberts seems very happy with it so that's a good sign) - no leaks as to which main actors are involved at the moment but I'm really excited for finding out and seeing how much they've improved the mocap work since the Constellation commercial.

Next ships to be in-game are said to be the herald, P52 (the small ship attached to constellation) and the scythe (for the ~310 people who own them). No word on the order of which will be in game first but they are adding new ships at an increasing rate it seems.

Most the original ships are undergoing a re-work - the 300 series, Freelancer, Cutlass and Constallation are all being re-done to modern standards. No external shots of the rework but we know the Freelancer is bigger and the constellation is getting extra bulkheads. We won't be seeing the re-works being fully revealed until arena commander 2.0 which is slated for in a couple of months time (after FPS and social modules have launched).

aaaannnddd my GT220 Mantis is not anymore compatible with the nose slot of my 315P drat... now it's bulldog or tractor beam (not that i complain that they repurposed the slot for 3 to 1 max )

i swapped some ship and i got some new shinies... i can't wait the next updates

so the 315P slot reduction before update after update


and the ... well ... i got seduced by the look of it.


also swapped the Omega for a Gamma ... too many AMD branded Mustang around
and got the signature ship Aurora (LN variant after some thought)

I'm always on the fence of learning everything I can about this game as soon as information comes out, or ignoring it for months on end and just get a crash course on everything that I missed out.

well the option to refund the package or ship bought, after 24hrs is interesting for checking live in hangar some models ... also free flight dancing with asteroids in a Gladius is a good option to find the "blackout" limit (if one is lucky enough to get in a empty free flight or one with only "pacifist" inside )


and then someone in a Mustang Delta entered and wanted to dance ... with a enemy on tail it's more difficult: result i lost my port Omnisky VI, not due to a rock ... but to a full frontal with the Delta we circled the same asteroid...
(as a measure of fairness i never used any of the Strikeforce i had on rack but the Scorpion GT-215 and the single Omni VI where already overkill ... so i offered him a dog and rabbit chase, i was the rabbit he was ... Elmer Fudd ... )


and ... yep the nose slot on the 300i is still size 3 compatible ... i wonder why the 315p is size 2


tied between the RSI Conny Taurus and the MISC Freelancer as a freighter ... uh ... (tho i really wonder why the Taurus is considered as a upgrade to the Andromeda ... since it's possible to upgrade from a Andromeda to a Taurus or a Aquila but not Taurus to Aquila, looks more like a downgrade )

you mean the one with the Cutlass pack for example? nope ... i have only Aeroview, Self Land and Revel & York the previous screen where in the Aeroview.
