The main TPU page is very slow to load and open.

everything seems to be fine, run a traceroute, any chance you are doing something that the site could interpret as "ouch! you are DOSing me?"

The main landing page for the forums is not loading completely, (missing the links at the top still), manually going to pages in the left and right (new posts/new News) take an extended time to open (as of now, over 3 mintues, and still not completed), and the one page that has completed doesn't have the "Post Reply/Upload" showing at the bottom, or the thread chain at the bottom of the page.

Usually a problem with MOST browsers *Hardware Acceleration* non-'feature,' namely the bloated unessential-ware Firefox* broswer.

*Oh, the days of when Firefox was a real browser, pre version 20!

did you just insult gpu accelerated browsing!? :shadedshu: i'd hate seeing anything that's not 60fps vsync scrolling, opera did it over a decade ago on win2k, ie did it on certain scroll speeds, what took so long for the other browsers until the last few years?

firefox has been good this year as well

bah ... exactly when I went for a nap.

something corrupted the instance, I think it's the logfile overflowing the instance's filesystem, which isn't detected by our logging scripts

Sorry, haven't been following the thread lately, but I just wanted to ask if a security measure has been added recently requiring login with each visit? It used to only do that after a CCleaner scan, now it does it every visit.

It doesn't really bother me, as it's a very quick login. Just making sure it isn't something on my end causing it.

Sometimes I do get logged out automatically, like once a day. I haven't been able to track down the exact cause.

If you can't permanently login at all then it's a setting on your side, probably related to cookies not being saved

Or being deleted. A lot of browsers have a clean up option to delete cookies on browser close. If it is enabled, automatic log out.

I don't think it's server side because IE11/Edge still only forget credentials probably once every three months or so. That is to say, I haven't noticed a change from previous behavior going back years.

Well the only change I made recently was switching from AdBlock to UBlock, but as far as I know, that only affects ads, not cookies. Also, this is not happening with other sites.

.....Think I may have just found it. I thought I had TPU listed in CCLeaner as a cookie to keep, but I didn't. That should sort it out.

Sorry for the false positive post, for lack of a better term.

I just got hit by slowness followed by a 503. Seems fixed now (less than a minute later). Not sure what that was about.

Edit: Posting and editing this post took probably 15 seconds each to load so something is still going on.

Edit: Seems to have cleared now.

I can't compose/edit a post properly on Firefox for Android. I have no ability to copy/paste. When I tap and hold in the box, it ends end just selecting a word in a post above the box. Makes creating a message quite hard sometimes. It seems to work fine in Chrome.

dding a new line is quite the challenge as well. I hit the return key but it just stays on the same line visually. Like this paragraph. I hit enter twice in the quick edit but it did nothing. I then typed this out, tapped after the period after Chrome and and added two lines. They actually added. With my cursor before the "A" in "added" I pressed delete but it ended up deleting the "A". I can't even get the cursor back to it to add the "A" again. If i tap anywhere from after the period to the end of "dding" it ends up putting the cursor just before the word "a". Is there anything that can done about this? Is this just me?

I want to add that it's only on TPU that I have this problem. All other sites work as expected.
