A graphics card-game bundle is always a reason to cheer, though not this time, if you loathe GeForce Experience. The company's latest "Prepare for Battle" game bundle lets you choose between two of the season's hottest game releases - "For Honor," and Tom Clancy's "Ghost Recon: Wildlands" on purchase of new GeForce GTX 1080 or GTX 1070 graphics cards. The only catch here is that you need GeForce Experience to redeem or activate your free game. This further requires you to create a GeForce Experience login, which adds to the list of startup apps, as GeForce Experience dials home to sign-in and sync your game settings.

Startup/install Geforce Experience - make an account if you don't have one - redeem your games - uninstall Geforce Experience.

If you want the games - how hard can this be? ...... but yeah - bloatware

Not really. As @VulkanBros says, install, register, get free game, uninstall and never use GE again. Nobody is being forced to use it, it's gentle coercion using AAA(?) game offer.

That's just not cool. Why they don't just ask a focus group what is the problem they don't want Geforce Experience ? I would want it if it added some value to my everyday work. As it stands it is completely useless. I don't have a card that supports Shadowplay. Now with my new 260X I have the "Relive" as an option and is great as it is essentially a free screencast program. Which in my book is a lot. Something Nvidia couldn't bring to the lower end cards.

Looking at the bigger picture, those are Ubisoft titles. GFE is a minor annoyance compared to (pardon the expression) Uplay.
But boo, all the same.

Very good point. If one can use Uplay, they should be grand with Nvidia GFE too :p Jokes aside, lately there has been too many news from Nvidia that disappointed me in one way or another. Only if red team managed to sort out issues with their drivers, some of us would definitely switch teams...

What's so bad Uplay? Haven't got any problems, and people used to say that same crap about Origin and even about Steam back in the day..

Yeah, but Steam improved. UPlay is the same annoying garbage. Besides, Steam is a global platform, UPlay is only for Ubisoft. It has the same annoyance level as EA Origin, except Ubisoft are more douchebaggy than EA. Yeah, hard to believe, isn't it?

Even if Uplay (or whatever service) worked perfectly, it's still a bigger intrusion than anything GFE does.
A game is a series of challenges/problems presented to the user. By analysing how a person tackles various charges, you can profile them way more accurate than by monitoring what apps they have installed or what setting to they change in their video drivers. By monitoring one's gaming habits, you can easily determine whether a person is conservative or adventurous, whether it naturally takes a defensive or aggressive stance and so on. On a group level you can extract even more interesting information.

I bought two GTX1080 Sea Hawk EK from MSI and left empty-handed, without a gift games. Should get a at least two games Watch_Dogs2. advertising is a lie. I am surprised that they did not include drivers !!

How is that? they will actually sell Origin and Steam platform games, and you can play those games at Steam and Origin without having to open Uplay. Origin refuses. Total walled garden. Now THAT is douchebaggy.

Besides, Uplay has the fewest operating bugs of those three platforms (at least for me, it never crashes or refuses to connect, unlike Steam). The people that have Uplay problems? Yeah, those are the ones trying to play a Uplay game through Steam because they are too lazy to go buy it and play it on Uplay. Anytime one platform has to work through another, problems are bound to appear.

Exactly, I scored a Radeon Pro Duo for over 65% off! that's the about the same price as a GTX 1060! I had my eye on the Pro Duo ever since the release day, but the original price was crazy. Good things come to those who wait :)

You're forced to use it.

You're trying to have a cake and eat it as well in the very same sentence... The very fact you have to install it to get the games is the point where you're forced lol. But oh well...

Matter of prospective or peoples lack of judgement but I agree with you there. One way or the other there is no free lunch from NVidia.

Like I said, "back in the day". What makes it garbage, and what is annoying with Origin? All three platforms work just flawlessly on my PC, like also Battle.net does.

What's most annoying with Origin is that when you re-install Windows, you have to re-download all your games which sucks monkey eggs. With Steam or GOG, you just install client in the same location as it was before and the games are repopulated instantly without the need to re-download them.

Compared to steam its not that bad in my book. Steam shitting the bed if its not closed correctly and then subserviently needing a Internet connection on the next startup is actually a potentially disastrous bug if you are left without Internet for a long time.

Even tho its a duchy move by Nvidia to get people to use their shitty program it does at least not remove anything from the hardware, yet. I think the day will come where Nvidia requires GFE for all the performance of their cards.

Idk, GOG Galaxy has the nasty habit of downloading the entire game when a patch is released. Or when you do a "check game files" even though you haven't changed anything in the game folder. I have a fast connection, but I'd be a really sad camper if i didn't.

I don't recall having to re-download my games with Origin when I last formatted, I do wish they would allow multiple install locations like Steam does now without needing to swap the game install directory around for each game.

Trust me, you have to. Steam instantly recognizes them, but Origin just doesn't. Unless it's a bit different if you have all the stuff in Program Files. Which I don't.

I just formatted my PC in October, and I'm almost positive that Origin just picked up the present game files in my installation directory and then reinstalled them just like Steam does.
