Was thinking about getting a gtx 1060 to breathe some life into my old desktop but apparently those plans will have to be put on hold considering the prices have increased between 100-130 euros for all graphic cards in my country. Really resenting mining right now.
How are the prices fairing in your part of the world?

Yeah, the mining stuff is really annoying for those of us that want to use video cards for actual gaming versus sucking down electricity for what is in my opinion stupid shit.

It is horrible and it is going on for quite some time. AMD cards are unavailable though listed at ridiculous prices and Nvidia's 1060s, the 3GB version can be found at around the equivalent of 300 Euro, the 6GB is anywhere between 350 and even above 400, that is if you can find some. I wanted a new midrange card for the second PC since it's all we need for what we play and ended up with a GTX 1050 Ti, low profile for a fair price of 150 Euro.

I refuse to buy anything less than gtx 1060 6gb. Anything lower I consider a waste of cash for me personally.
Can't wait for ethereum to become too difficult to mine but I suspect they will start mining something else (and by that I mean same shit with another name). I don't think the new specially designed for mining cards will help. From what I can find they are sold in batches of 50/100. Not something joe average will buy.

Whats wrong with mining. I have 4 gtx 1060 and 3 rx570 eraning money to daddy. Cause of lag of avaible cards i had to chose some diferent card on the way :p

Alright joke aside. I am suffering from it to. Cause of this mining shit, i cant get that gtx 1080 ti i want for some 4k fun. Until it come in stores i am stuck with gtx 970 sli, not that its a bad gpu setup im just running out of vram and 970 is not a 4k a capable card. so until i can get i that 1080 ti i am stuck at 1080P else vram quikly runs out.

I want my 1080 ti now . End this mining madness so us gamers can get those cheap cards back and i can get that card i want.

When will this madness end

Havent check up on prices in my country throw at lower cards, but according to my friends they are suffering to.

No price havent changet much, but aviability has change for the worse.
Not sure about that either since the same cards that were in stock two months ago are still in stock as far as 1080Ti goes from what I've seen.

good idea Especially if you can get someMugPunter to pay postage from Alaska to the lower 48
from what i understand the postage boot would be on the other foot for a change ( from the lower 48 to Alaska is exorbitant apparently)

1080Ti prices haven't really changed..

In Romania the website I am looking on has a handy graph which shows price changes in the last 31 days. Only 2 GTX1080 Ti models available and both have increased in price.
Also 1000 euros is way more than I can justify paying for a "toy". o_O
We need the sweet spot cards back. 700 more euros so Geralt can have more hair on his head.....he has enough already.

with the market as bad as it is right now for Buyers, You must admit that a Very small portion of people actually NEED to buy a GPU right now (i.e. cant wait) ....they simply WANT to buy a new GPU. If you took Any 10 people who are looking to make a GPU purchase, id bet that no less than 7 of them could go without that purchase for months ....so it really boils down to an inconvenience in most cases. im not justifying the shitty buyers market, but just starting a personal observation is all (im aware its not the same for everyone, but thats obvious). ive had a 380x (which is in Near Perfectly brand new condition sitting FS for almost a month now, and ive had very few interested parties...i think its a specific few cards, and a select few buyers that are in a must have now situation. but im aware that it affects a broader range of buyers and Items.

1050Ti isn't that bad actually, GTX 670/770 level of performance. I use it for 1440 and even 4K gaming. And earns me 50$ or 0.17 ETH per month in the free time so I can justify the +25$ asking price where I live and even get a second 1050Ti.

I wouldn't buy 1080 Ti because it is bound to repeat the history of 780Ti -> GTX 970 and 980 Ti -> GTX 1070 scenario, meaning same performance can be had for only 50-60% of the initial cost rather sooner than later.
