How they fit in your ear will affect the sound drastically. That's why I always thought it was silly to spend a lot on earbuds like these or bother with reviews.

i can get some Shure SE215 model for 98chf (116chf wirerless model or 102chf for the wireless module add on ), average review around: 4/5* (lowest 2.5* on Amazon ... but ... eh... Amazon user reviews ) sure 144£ is cheap ... yep

ok the total price would be 208.90chf (for both cable 3.5mm/bluetooth) aka 159.69£

although i will try some cheap dual/tri driver one from a certain website (also with wired and wireless option but half the price of the SE215 )

So you want to compare apples to pears?
The SE215 use a dynamic driver, not a balanced armature, even less four.
I doubt the two are comparable in terms of audio quality, but hey, maybe these are really bad?

hummm i didn't read the whole article mea culpa .... indeed cheap for what specs they have

nonetheless i tested the Shure SE215 in wired and wireless mode and they sound quite good for a single DD, well among my option i have some peculiarly interesting one on my sight ... (armature type)
i like the fact that they can be used wired or wireless, for now i have a pair of wireless QCY QY-19 that have a not so bad battery duration and quite good sound for the price (paid less than 15$ for them) but these with connector on each ear plug are interesting, you use it wireless and when the battery runs out, if you have no charging alternative, you just plug them on cable ... pretty neat (that would also save me from carrying my 10000mAh power bank all the time )

In-ears is probably one of the types of headphones that has less variance as long as you get them to seal towards your ear canal. So as long as you get a good fit sound quality should be the same. Only thing that changes is the geometry of the ear canal and otoacoustics which should only have a microscopic influence on what you hear.

Worst types of headphones to compare between people are probably semi in-ears and over-ears since both a super sensitive to fit and placement.

Sometimes you just can't get earbuds to fit right no matter what you do. Plus sound is subjective just like taste, everyone likes different things. I personally prefer a very flat response but others like heavy bass or boosted vocals.

It is very few people that cannot get a good fit with in-ears with proper tips, but there will always be some where the design does not fit. The ones that do get seal will get very similar sound quality.
