After being blocked via an executive order by President Trump, Broadcom has given up on their quest to acquire Qualcomm. The chipmaker will also be withdrawing the slate of independent director candidates that they were planning to nominate at Qualcomm's 2018 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Although highly disappointed with the outcome, Broadcom respects President Trump's decision. The company also wants to thank the stockholders for their unconditional support during the entire process. With this whole Qualcomm takeover business out of the way, Broadcom will concentrate on their redomiciliation process.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
They will likely wait until CTS and Viceroy are involved artificially deflating the price and value of the organization. Then, people will blame Intel for being behind it all regardless if there is any information which points to that fact.

Crap, sorry swede, wrong thread...:roll: :lovetpu:

why don't they take over AMD or Mediatek for like 1/5 th of the Cash & compete with Qualcomm instead...
they make take few years to get close to their competition ..but with that much amount of Cash.. & afford to spend on R & D..
they sure can beat qualcomm in 5 years..

Because that would easily violate anti-trust regulations. Such a purchase would never be allowed.

Yup it would be blocked by the Same exact legislation that occurred here.

Im Glad, we don't need monopolies, telecommunication companies should be forced to allow other carriers in the same city...

And ISP's. Where I live we're fairly lucky, there are 4 major ISP's serving us with a fifth coming in next year. Not all area's are like that.

Good. Nobody wants monopolies on the market.
