Hi, have been reading a lot over this forum about this subject, tried enumerous things but none seems to work in my case so would really appreciate some guidance to what to do next.

I tried to flash my Vega 56 sapphire pulse into v64. I used the last version of atiflash and created a batchfile like the one in bullzoid video. Evertyhing "ok" but when I restarted I got a black screen.

Switched to the left bios switch and all working normal. I know I should tried to use this switch side instead for my attempt but missunderstood where the switch really was and tought was already in the left side.

So changed switch again while in windows 10 and tried to re install my backup rom but I keep getting the infamous OFL01 ERROR:

Write fail
80000/80000h bytes programmed
2/80000h bytes verified

Restart System To Complete VBIOS Update.

ERROR: 0FL01

After this I tried a few comands that were recomended in this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/3nxhju
Created the win98 dos bot usb pen but couldnt use 2.84 version because said wasnt compatible with DOS. Tried the 4.17 version and it said adapter not found which I believe is because it´s a old version before vega release.

So what can I do now? I was about to install windows 7 in a second partition and try to unbrick from there with new versions of atiflash or something but wanted to get some advice here before trying anything else.

Sorry for long text and tx for the help

It was primarily only the reference cards that would unlock.

I need the SKU number off the back of your card and a GPU-Z screenshot of the working bios please.

@ENEMY

Stop trying to flash in command prompt or DOS. I'm also not reading that wall of text. Shorter posts will be read, text walls will not.

Look on the back of the card, you will see white stickers, one will have SKU number on it.

Yes that is correct. By the way there really is not much difference between the 2 like there isnt much difference between my card and the 290X.

Sorry my ignorance but do I have to take of card to take a photo of it? Not really understanding where it is.

It might be on the back of the card or one side of the heatsink.

Take the card out and look.

Is it the one on my gpu box?

http://gpuz.techpowerup.com/19/01/30/6te.png

SKU# 11276-02-40G

I took the gpuz screen shot while in the bricked switch, does not make any difference right?

Wrong flip the switch to the working bios and restart.

Ok yeah the shu number from the original box is fine

Yes is on the left side, I just restarted

Btw sorry for bothering but is there any chance that the switches are swaped by default? My card kinda runned better on this side than the other but not entirely sure. It says 165w board power limit in gpu.z 2.16.0.

Here are 2 from the verified list

These have a 180W power

These are from unverified list

This has 180W power

This says secondary bios 165W power

165W power

Make sure you switch to the non working bios position before flashing.

DO NOT FLASH THE WORKING BIOS POSITION!!!

You can attempt to put in the 180W bios on the non working position. Just never flash both.

Thats what I was using before, will try that at home and I reply, thank you

Btw, im on Windows 10 version 1803

SubsystemIDs mismatch in all of the vega 56 bios. Tried some v64 bios just because. It looks like in only accepts vega 64 bios to flash but even then in the end always appear a "fail" message. Tks a lot for the help, read a lot of stuff about the topic but guess to much miss information and ppl saying it would be easy, I regret now and probably got stuck with a vega 56 power saving mode because im dumb :f

Ok im creating a ticket

Yes tell them the truth.

And it is only the reference design vega cards that you can do the 56 to 64 conversion.

But the thing that happens is that it puts the BIOS into a write protect mode so you can't reflash it unless if you use a SPI flasher or use the tools that are provided by the card manufacturer.

AMD Flash is an amateur flash tool

But then why is so much ppl saying they managed to flash bios to the sapphire pulse version with samsung memorie?

I honestly dont understand. Are they lying or? I´m not sure if I know what a reference card is, will try to google it. Will update when I get an answer. Once again, tx a lot for help and the patience!

Ok what they dont know is that it will work but it does cripple the card by disabling one of the video outputs. It is not worth it.

Get a spi flasher or contact sapphire please.

They asked me serial number and board P/N number. Where is the serial number= is the same as SKu number? or is in the card itself?

Yeah, I kinda read about cripple it, I just wanted to test it with a higher memory and do some benchmarks. Oh well if I manage to recover it will be a good performance upgrade getting a turbo switch again :f

It's on the card itself typically, look on the back or on sides of heatsink. If you don't have that you are screwed with sapphire support.

Hard lesson to learn.

Here look at this.
