ID-COOLING today announced IS-47K low profile CPU air cooler, featuring only 47 mm total height, 6 copper heatpipes, copper base and a 92x92x15mm PWM fan. IS-47K is specially designed for high performance small form factor builds with a TDP up to 130 W. It is compatible with the mainstream CPU sockets on ITX systems, including Intel LGA1200/1150/1151/1155/1156 and AMD AM4.

The thermal solution is achieved by utilizing a few key structural designs: pure copper base and pure copper heatpipes, high quality aluminium fins which soldered to the heatpipes, PWM 92x922x15mm fans and on top of that, a tube of high cooling performance thermal grease ID-TG25 which has a 10.5 W/m-K thermal conductivity.

The heatsink is carefully designed so the layout enables a 100% RAM compatibility on all ITX motherboards.

MSRP for IS-47K: 44.99USD/39.99EUR (Excl. VAT).
Available date: End of June-Early July, 2020.
Shipments starts: Mid of June, 2020.

For more information, visit the product page.

I wonder how good will its compatibility be?
The fiercest competitor is likely Alpenföhn's Black Ridge that has compatibility issues with certain boards (and memory if you want the 120mm fan).

Would be interesting to see a head to head (both are 47mm, 6 pipes, 92x15mm fan) with a L12S thrown into the mix for good measure...

Did some comparison at a glance, the main fin stack is bit thicker on the AK47 (not a typo :D ).

Black Ridge, aprox 16mm:

IS-47K, exactly 20mm:

As for clearance, it's a bit better on the ID-Cooling one. 3mm to be exact.

An interesting design, kinda odd, but I like it overall.

Can a 2nd fan be added on top, for a push/pull set-up ?

And of course, does it enable playing crysis at 521,367.5498 FPS & 8k, hehehe ?

Agreed. Very creative design and use of space. I like it too.

If there's room in the case it will go into, I don't see any reason why not.

tbh the design is merged shuriken 3 with black ridge. But i like it for sure as it’s a killer price for such compatibility. My axp-100 fc was more than twice expensive and still could be rotated only one way not to interfere with memory height.

Looks good, there is always demand for more variety of niche ITX cooling with some of the tiny cases being sold now.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
It looks really nice for SFF and low-pro builds at first, but then I realised that only the original fan is suitable. You can't just use any 92x92x15 fan because you'll need to dremel part of the frame away like they have so that it doesn't interfere with the heatpipes.

That makes this a hard pass because once that fan dies you're throwing out the whole cooler.

The official product page has a normal 92mm fan.

That bodes well but they're still all CG renders so far; Time will tell what the real product looks like.

I think this kind of took a page from the Alpenfohn Black Ridge which is a great cooler for its height. This ID Cooling clone can be a good alternative if the price is attractive.

I wonder how good will its compatibility be?
The fiercest competitor is likely Alpenföhn's Black Ridge that has compatibility issues with certain boards (and memory if you want the 120mm fan).
I think that got addressed in version 2 of it. Otherwise, they do sell the retention clips that will not be obstructed by the VRMs cooler on Asrock and Gigabyte ITX boards.

When you mount a 120mm fan on either this ID Cooling or Alpenforn cooler, the rams will surely be in the way when you consider an ITX board with very tight space.
