The XPG Pylon 750 achieves 80 PLUS Bronze and Cybenetics Silver efficiency, where it also manages the Standard+ certification in noise output. It offers decent performance levels and uses a solid CWT platform equipped with quality parts, including an FDB fan.

great review, I would gladly give up modular cables for better performance but one thing;
tier 1 main cap
tier 2 secondary caps
FDB fan from a well know OEM

but a 3 year warranty? How is this PSU not a five year warranty unit?

Really bad PSU for that price. Ripple in 12V rail is almost 70mV... Not even modular... 80+ Bronze...

FSP Hyper K 700W, SilentiumPC Vero L3 700W, Chieftec CPS-750S, and Deepcool DA-700N cost about 50€, are currently available and performs same or even better.

Similarly priced Chieftec Polaris 750W in 12V rail have 17mV ripple at 100% load, fully modular cables and 80+ Gold certification.

I have nothing against ADATA and XPG. They are making great SSD and memory modules. But their last entries to liquid cooling market and power supply market are really bad. The products are OK, but prices are way too high. This supply should cost about 65 USD to be competetive.

Not a great value, Super Flower Leadex bronze pro 750w is LLC, fully modular, and has 5 years warranty, for 90$, along side many other competing bronze PSUs for the price, this XPG is lost in existential crisis.

$95 for a bronze non-modular PSU without fan idle is a complete joke when the SuperFlower Legion GX 650W semi modular gold is $79 and the Leadex III 650W is $100 from where I live.

Now that is the right question, 3 years of warranty sounds about right on an mediocre unit

yet there are other mediocre efficient PSU like the the seasonic s12iii & evga bq that offer five year warranties and come with cheaper parts.

For me, three years are ok for this category. Anything more is just marketing since we talk for PSUs here, which are highly affected by the mains grid's quality.

Now prices went up in every PC part including PSUs. Before Covid, this could be in the 60-70$ range but now it is much more expensive.

Fan stop is not a good feature in PSUs, where FDB or rifle bearing fans are used. It is way better to have a PWM controlled fan and keep it at low speeds under light loads. FDB fans take huge stress during the start-up phase till the lubricant gets all the way up to the bearing.

Not a great value, Super Flower Leadex bronze pro 750w is LLC, fully modular, and has 5 years warranty, for 90$, along side many other competing bronze PSUs for the price, this XPG is lost in existential crisis.
Is this available in the US? Because I didn't spot it. If this Leadex goes for $90, it is a VERY good choice, indeed.

Hi,
First time I've read longer than 3 year warranty is considered a marketing ploy :)

It seems that XPG has lack of trust in longevity of their unit why else such short period of warranty but maybe out there is a better explanation

There is only one warranty marketing ploy and that's called "life time warranty" ;)
