I have Roccat Kanga (Mini) and it's like if there was glue on it. Gaming pad my ass. When I do long movements with the mouse it's ok, but small movements are completely ridiculous - jerky as hell.
Any tips for anything better? I want a small-ish pad, not those ridiculous half tents people use for reasons beyond my threedimensional understanding.
Also I don't want to pay in kidneys. I saw a fucking RGB mousepad for example, what the heck?

Are the glides on your mouse in decent condition? I had to exchange hyperglides on a few of my mice over the years since they were worn out.
Get one with a low friction material on the top then? Plastic, Teflon etc. https://www.amazon.com/CS-Hyde-C4-NGen-Mousepad-Copper/dp/B003DZ16VQ which has a PTFE surface which basically means, good luck finding a mousepad with lower friction than that.

The ASUS ROG Sheath is amazing.. there is a reason why it costs 30 bucks but it feels fantastic and much better than all of these cheap 15 dollar 2 Meter mousepads.

Bloody 70&80 series nice quality and durability, wallet friendly. My Logitech G9 (laser), MX500 and office grade (IR), also old wireless and wired MS mouses work fine on them, either in game or work.

The mouse is almost brand new, so no, it's the damn pad itself.

I used to get scraps from the CS Hyde factory years ago (I didn't live far from it) and made mouse pads with them. They had a few great different materials that I tried. They also have small sheets of adhesive-backed Teflon that are perfect for cutting feet from to stick on your mouse. I have to pay them a visit again next time I'm in that area.

If slippery is what you want, they got the stuff!

It also worth mentioning that their PTFE mouse discs (3/4") only costs $13.16 for a pack of 138

overlooked it...

doesn't change my opinion.
placing your keyboard on it and have a normal sized mousepad on it on having one beside your keyboard really doesn't change anything except having insanely good grip with the keyboard and enough place for the mouse.

Also, if you have a mechanical keyboard, the larger pad softens the clicking.

I second @jboydgolfer's suggestion for steelseries. Using a Qck Edge XL and have absolutely no issues. It looks like the medium size is out of stock but the large is available - not sure if that's larger than what you're looking for.

I use cloth pads since ruining a set of mouse feet on a premium hard pad, yes there's more friction on cloth but cloth doesn't eat your mouse feet.

If you have extra money to throw away on mouse feet every few months get a hard pad, most are super low friction and the mouse just glides.

I bet you that a Logitech G440 would be the way to go. I use one myself. It's a hard surface, low friction mouspad with dimensions 340mm by 280mm. Surface underneath is grippy to prevent sliding. I swear by it because the mouse just glides like it's on ice and helps reduce wrist strain. You could easy find one for US$30 or less.

I've used hard surface pads for years and never had such an issue. Very little wear on the mouse feet and my mice normally last a year or two at least (they usually fail due to bad click mechanisms etc).

The ASUS ROG Sheath is amazing.. there is a reason why it costs 30 bucks but it feels fantastic and much better than all of these cheap 15 dollar 2 Meter mousepads.

It severely lacks professional reviews and at $30, that's putting it against the established Zowie G-SR and new pads like the Glorious Element pads. There's also the gamesense radar control mousepad at that price as well. TBH honest though, if you are going to drop that much money on a mousepad you might as well buy an Artisan. They are the best. There are three tiers of mousepads: Budget, Pro, Artisan.

The best budget mousepad for those that like their pads a bit fast is the MP510 at $20: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/peripheral/mouse-pads/mp510/

At $20 it's a bit expensive for a budget pad but it's durability makes up for it. You will go through 5 cloth pads before you go through one of those.

Sounds like you should try out the Artisan Hayate Otsu. Just note it's out of stock a lot of places right now.

I am going to try the QcK. It's not too expensive and seems pretty good according to some videos I watched.

MSI makes a slick mouse pad, works really well. Or you could go old school and use a Teflon cutting board

Aluminium Plate or even Glass. Otherwise Logitech G440. I've gone away from cloth pads. Collects dust, sweat, oil and makes a layer of cake. Then frequent washing either chips the rubber underneath, the glue holding the cloth to the rubber or the fabric fibre itself.

The Logitech is a little bigger (not a whole lot though) than I'd like, and it's fairly expensive, so I keep that as a backup option to try if I don't like the QcK.

I am going to try the QcK. It's not too expensive and seems pretty good according to some videos I watched.

The QcK is a medium - high friction pad just so that you are aware. It shouldn't hurt to try it out though, it is good for the price.
