The marketing slides for MSI's upcoming SUPRIM series feature the unreleased RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti graphics cards which are set to be announced by NVIDIA later this month. The slides confirm that the RTX 3080 Ti will include 12 GB memory while the RTX 3070 Ti will include 8 GB memory and that both cards will feature the same PCB design as their non-Ti variants. MSI is planning to release two RTX 3080 Ti model with the RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM 12G and the RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X 12G which was recently found for sale at a computer store in the UAE for 3500 USD. MSI also plans to release two variants of the RTX 3070 Ti with the RTX 3070 Ti SUPRIM 8G and RTX 3070 Ti SUPRIM X 8G, we are still unsure about the specific variants between the versions but we expect to be a similar boost clock increase as found on existing SUPRIM X models.

Interesting that the second slide apparently also shows an 8GB 3080 in the right-most column.

Who cares? It's not like anyone is going to be able to buy one, much less buy one for anything like MSRP.

I stalked Microcenter, popped up and scored two RTX 3090 FTW3. They had a total of 5 and they also get regular shipments of other models weekly. The problem is that you need a relationship on the inside to help you know exactly when to get there and get one.

Shout out to the Manager who helped me score both of mine - despite the "one per customer" rule.

It was magnificent FORCING the salesguy to hand over the keys to the manager so he could grab a second card for me.

In retrospect, if I wanted to sell both these cards - even used - I could probably get $500 more for em.

Not everyone has a Microcenter.

I can 'smell' the MSRP X 3 price tag already. Woudn't mind one though but I highly doubt they'd be hitting the stores anywhere near me :(

Why? you can get in the EVGA queue, and pay under $400? Somehow idiots are too impatient, I guess?

3060s and 3070s are shipping pretty regularly.
He's in South Africa buddy. Here in the UK EVGA cards along with other brands are as rare as rocking horse poop. Everone is in the queue, a very long one.
Many of those who do get them are putting them up for sale at eye watering prices.

With the leaked prices I do not understand the point of the 3070 Ti at all. The third party boards will cost as much as the standard 3080 and still be slower. This is what I would have done.

3080 should never have been released with 8GB, so the 3080 Ti should just replace it and be priced at $849. The 3070 Ti should have been a 10GB 320 bit GA104 card and be priced at $649 and replaces the 3080, and the 3070 stays put at $499. The 3060Ti also makes little sense being so close to the 3070 in performance. The 3060 should have been released with about 10% more performance and still with 12GB and that's it, no Ti version that has less memory.

Money is king and people want what they think will be faster than the standard cards. GTI /GTX /RTX.....

I have a Microcenter near me, and you don't have to know someone on the inside. A couple days each week, if you show up an hour or two before they open and get in line outside, they will come out and hand out vouchers for the hardware they have in stock that day. First come, first serve, until the vouchers are handed out. Then you can come back later when they are open, give them your voucher, and they pull the item from the back room.

Aside from that, the manager who helped you should be fired for giving you a second card against the rules. You're no better than the miners.
