First off, I dont know which category this should fall so please mod, move this to appropriate sub-forum

Anyway, decided to play again on windows 11, last time I used windows 11 was like few hours ago, and to my surprise, screen was half. Whenever I uninstall driver, screen is back to full, but whenever I install drivers (Any drivers, Microsoft, AMD 21.6.2 even WQHL), it always turn to half. (See picture below)

Steps I have done

I removed all AMD GPU drivers using DDU, disconnect physically my ethernet to prevent windows from downloading drivers - install driver from downloaded AMD drivers - no success (done this both for wqhl driver and 21.6.2 Radeon.

For experiment, I also install driver from M$ update, same result. Half Screen

Switch over all my bios switch (in case corrupted bios) - Same half screen

It cant be hardware fault because I am using now with Linux and screen is fine / normal

So any ideas?

My GPU is Sapphire Nitro+ 6900XT
CPU: AMD 3900 XT (if it is relevant)
Full specs on my profile

EDIT: Its the DP CABLE!!!! I change the cable and now full screen..... WTF... On linux it works .Windows 11 half screen ha ha...who would have thought

Benchmark Scores I dont have time for that.
I mean, I would manually check res and refresh rate after driver install to see if it is detecting them correctly.

It might be worth looking to see if your monitor has drivers. I dont mean like a control panel, just if it shows in device manager properly. I know my monitors install "drivers".

Benchmark Scores Suggestions.
Had a recent encounter with a DP cable issue. Drove me insane. Glad you were able to resolve it.

The old did you unplug it and plug it would have shown this.....

Yes it did droved me insane. Cause after a while (while changing DP ports), it refuses to show any images. It has a message on my monitor showing that DP2 cable has been detected but no picture. Changed over to DP1, my monitor is blank. So I thought F, my monitor has an issue, and so as my GPU. But it cant be... since it is working fine on Linux.... and thats when I realized that I still have extra cable and boom... everything is working fine. All DP input in my monitor, all DP ports on my gpu..... tried changing over back to old cable and no picture at all and monitor does not detect input at all.

Physically, old cable does not have any damage. No scratches, no corrosion on pins, no cracks, nothing. But today I cut in half because I was pissed... ha ha
