Yeah that's BS marketing. You dont need specific SSD to use DS. DS is supported on Gen4, Gen3 and even on HDD's. Also backported to Win10 not just Win11.
Unfortunately the first game to use this (Forspoken) wont release until next year and by then we will likely also have first Gen5 SSD's.

My question is why are 2TB models selling for $299, but 4TB model are $699 instead of $549 ?

Yea yea, I know the larger nand chips aren't cheap, but still, this raises the $$/GB significantly....unlike the 1TB-to-2TB ratio.....
