Yeah exactly. Good for mining eth because it still had the memory bandwidth of the full 6700xt. But I mean pick your poison. As long as you aren't trying to run native 4K it should be a hell of a card and good power draw.
Yeah, 'twas just a curiosity hunt. Also yeah, the 6700 is hilariously efficient, like ~160W for 3060ti perf, and if you undervolt it you can get 110W (!) out of it.

Wonder if anyone has found a Nashira Summit on the wild though. There's a later version of it with a lower default core clock (the one that eventually became the 6700) called just Navi 22 XL, which is the codename of the chip.

AMD basically released the 6700 thrice:
- Nashira Summit in 2021, just for mining
- A card literally called "Navi 22 XL", also sold exclusively to miners
- The actual RX 6700

All of that happened between early '21 and late '22.

Yeah when I first heard about it back in 2021 I thought it was a very interesting configuration. Certainly it must be less ROP bound than the 6700XT and really 10GB is plenty for such configuration. The PCIE x16 is a definite advantage for older system users over the 6600XT when pushing very high FPS at moderate resolution.

Hi, i have a recent Sapphire Nitro+ 6950XT and from one day to another i noticed a strange behaviour when playing some games that the voltage is at costant 1200mv(making coil whine) even with capped FPS(165) and not at 100% load(~90%).
I'm still using 22.11.2 drivers.

Tried to update to 23.2.2 but had some low FPS in games, even the strees test in Adrenalin after 10 sec was ideling the GPU.

Any ideas?

Thank god Newest Adrenaline update fixed the last new update. I got my FPS back in MW2. I see a more consist fps and quality and my 6750XT seems to run a bit smoother from this update. That's about it for me.

Haven't had problems yet, but not playing much games anymore lately, there still users reporting problems however like random reboot when alt tabbing.

Is there a reason MPT doesn't improve performance on my 6800? My benchmarks scores are the same even though I see people with big performance increases.I changed power limit,TDC limits and FCLK.Also my FCLK will not go above 1700,if I try any higher my fans go completely mad on benchmarks, and start spinning really fast and I have to turn the PC off by the plug

What I want to know, is that a fatal WHEA crash and auto-reboot? That's more likely to be unstable MCLK. (VRAM) Or of course a CPU issue. I had a problem months ago with Ryzen crash-rebooting with a fatal WHEA for "Cache Hierarchy Error". I could go a long time without a crash or error and then I can get multiple fatal WHEA errors of the same type in a short time space.

Seemed more likely to happen with my Ryzen 7 3700X and RX 5600 XT.

The 6700 needs more love.

Yeah, it's pretty much power limited at stock. I don't think it's artificially clock limited, as it isn't from the same silicon as the 6X50 parts. I can only get 2720MHz (2750 works everywhere except on rdr2 lol)

Memory speed is definitely limited. I imagine we could get 2200 or 2300 if lucky. I can max out the memory slider without any performance degradation.

If you get a fatal WHEA for "Cache Hierarchy Error" after upping the VRAM slider, then the VRAM is unstable.

There are always Fast Timings 2 to try if you got good memory chips. Memory at FT 2 base clock are faster than FT 1 + OC though not stable in my case.
I tried more voltage for memory but didn't help at all (voltage was higher cause HWiNFO reported it)
I keep my 6750 XT at 1.075V@2700 because going above 2700 needs a lot more power for not much gains.
I also undervolted SOC Voltage - 1150 down to 1037 at standard FLCK 1940.

Discovered i get a blackscreen bug if i fire up doom eternal but not in doom eternal but some other games, but if i do not fire up doom eternal all is fine, doom eternal is breaking gpu drivers if HDR is on, blackscreens for 3 seconds during notifications and alt tabbing, really silly bug requires reboot, but to reproduce it you must first fire up doom eternal else no chance you reproduce it well at least in my case.
Bassicly to avoid the bug you startup doom eternal but if you exit Doom Eternal you must disable HDR in game first, if you HDR on in game you get bug while HDR is on in windows, but if you disable HDR in game before exiting the game its fine, no need to disable HDR in windows.

Here’s some thing odd:my stream library will not display for some reason until it gets ready. I can restart the machine and it’s a no go. I have absolutely no clue where to start. Driver updates do nothing. gog,Ubisoft, epic and whatever are problem free. The newest drivers are great for my rx 6800 . Might open up a new thread for this problem.don’t want to side track this thread.

edit: are you talking about the bug where if click on steam wont pop up ?

I believe for that specific bug you need to restart AMD External Events utility or kill an executeable from AMD so it restarts do not remember exactly but some one else might know.

FT 1 + OC works, but FT2 seems too tight probably. Eh, I think I got pretty good chips anyway, 2150MHz + FT on the drivers gives me a performance improvement over just 2150MHz and another improvement over just 2100.

I noticed too, after 2700MHz the efficiency goes out of the window. I don't seem to be able to do any kind of meaningful undervolting. Even at stock I crash on 1160mV, and that doesn't yield any decent power consumption improvements. Considering it crashes on non-3d loads, I imagine the actual clocks that aren't stable are around the middle of the curve, but I am honestly kind of lazy to do MPT undervolting...

My card crashes just below 1175mV as well when I start game (not in actual game) if I use AMD drivers slider to undervolt so I guess it's normal. You might be surprised how diffrent result is using MPT =)
I just set desired voltage in MPT then use AMD Drivers to set right clock.

It was the display drivers causing the problems. Took them out and just used the driver only problem solved. First time in a long time I’ve had problems with amd drivers.

Sounds like it was what i think it was then cos those services are not installed but i guess i was wrong about what to restart, if had a issue in past first couple of days when i got my 6900 XT and i click steam from task bar it would not open at all for long time, fixing this required restarting some service or killing an amd executeable, never happened again after tho which is why i vaguely remember the fix, if you asked for a fix on steam subreddit there probably will be some one that knows how to fix it without doing a driver only install.

It is artificially clock limited in that it's not letting me go above 2800MHz on the sliders no matter what. Maybe there are gains to be made there, however small. Memory, as you said, is definitely limited though
I hope with time we can maybe get unlocks on these things, but I don't have much hope

Heyho, just saw this thread for 6600 community, got one too since some days.
Asus RX6600 Dual, already been worried as VR VDDC is higher than core in idle but should be fine.
However the fans get crazy in games even locked to 60 the fps.
Then i used vsync/framelock through adrenalin and suddenly the fans dont cry anymore and temps stay better even ingame steam always showed max 60 frames but for some reason in cutscenes and menu the card didnt care?
with vsync she does, normal behaviour?
as without vsync performance sometimes might be worse than without but for higer frames and temps then again?

I just disable Zero Chill and manually set a fan curve for the slowest fan speed until 45 degrees then ramp from there. Dropped my idle temp down to 27 to 36 depending on ambient, fans run between 1000 and 1200 RPMs and whisper quiet. Otherwise the junction temp on my 6600 will hit 55/60 during fullscreen YouTube videos, sending the fan into defcon 4 ...

how can I force my 6600 to not save energy and be used as much as possible by the game?

I already used MPT to disable the "DS".
As well as the driver to specify a minimum frequency,
but even like that, in some places of the map I lose fps and the game becomes loosy

Benchmark Scores it sucks even more less now ;)
but for some reason in cutscenes and menu the card didnt care?
with vsync she does, normal behaviour?
Yes that's normal for menus to do that as menus aren't driven the same as game play by the render engine of the game hence why forcing vsync via AMD Radeon settings works as it's a blanket vsync that covers all
