I just pulled the trigger on an Asus RTX 4070 Ti TUF 12gb. I need to upgrade my daughters GPU so I'm giving her my 3070.. hehe

I know approximately how that reasoning works. The HD 7770 on my parents' pc died, then I got myself the 3070 I'm currently running and sold my 1070 to my brother, so his 750Ti ended up replacing the failed Radeon.

I had a couple HD 7770 as well they were great price to performance cards. Great for light gaming.

It was mine at first
While I still lived with my parents, I replaced it with a RX 460 and kept the HD7770 inside its box, and when I moved out (after upgrading my PC a number of times) there were enough parts to build them a rig.
For the light users they are, the onboard HD4200 would suffice were it not for the hassle that is making it work under Win10.

FrozenCPU going outta business 50% off gear (thats a mouthful lol)showed up...short a bottle of Koolance coolant, GRRRR. First time in 20yrs of buying from them I've had an issue. Of course.
Tried calling them, pfft. No que or anything. Just a message to try later...joy.

Traded my old Dell 24" display and paid 70EUR to my friend, got a BenQ XL2411 (24" 1080p 144Hz) from him, though I don't have a suitable cable yet so I had to order a DP->dual link DVI cable to get the most of out of that monitor.

Just be very careful when cleaning. Based on refurbs sold in some stores coating on these qd-oleds is very prone to scratching.

oleds in general should never be cleaned with conventional liquid screen cleaner. The antiglare hates it and will haze up. Dry microfiber only.

Depends on the display I guess, once I had a 1080p laptop screen and it got dirty and stayed like that even with display cleaner, if the screen is glossy it's most probably ok..

Yeah it's actually something to do with the antiglare. Because they are more or less coating the pixels directly, they are limited to coatings that don't eat the oleds. Sadly the coating most choose is really sensitive to cleaners.

The above was a technical explanation provided to me from a tech at LG. So I sort of trust it.

The refund has already been processed... for $24.95 rather than the $10 that I paid... I feel terribly guilty for being overcompensated dangit!

Hows that for hands on CS despite the chaos they must be dealing with. The owner steps up and takes care of a measley $10 mistake. Modright gear will forever be on my radar as a result of this most excellent experience.

So, if you run into any issues with a FrozenCPU order, don't hesitate to shoot their support team an email. They will take care of you.

I purchased a Ryzen 5-5600x for my asus rog strix am4 motherboard with the B450F Gaming 2. I replaced my 2600x with it due to some weird thread issue that was causing win10 pro to keep encountering errors. I've got 32 gigs ddr4 @2666 and a Asus tuf rtx 3070ti oc gaming card. I power it with a Thermaltake tough power 1200 watt psu. And an LG 24IN monitor at 1080p with built-in speakers. I bought the 3070 ti and 5600x because I was informed that the 2 pieces of hardware went together hand in hand. I put this system together just like 4 months ago based on my knowledge and what I was getting from online hardware reviews. I read the other day that these beasts of graphics cards need extra support underneath the gpu, otherwise my G.C. could suffer catastrophic failure in a mere 4yrs or less due to the PCB FLEXING and popping vram chips. Does anyone know if asus installed the extra bit of support to prevent this sort of thing from happening? And as far as gaming rigs go, is mine considered a solid decent build for gaming.? Thanks for the help anyone.
