Trying something new with stacked monitors to save some space

Hard to find space to squeeze in the Xiaomi lightbar and TrackIR sensor. Haven't even put the webcam back on yet. Maybe I'll just use a tripod.

The MR4s are pretty good for the price. They're hooked up via 6.35mm to the Scarlett so I can switch between it and the K7. They don't get so loud (plus distortion starts to creep in) and don't have booming bass but the sound is reasonably flat and very clear. 4" works for me, I'm not a hiphop listener. I still need to set up Erin's eq settings.

The stands and foam made a huge difference.

New board to replace my sweet B550-XE.. till we meet again after RMA baby :D

Now my youngest boy will get my Strix-F and my oldest will get a little bump to the XE.

It has bios 4201 on it right now, it’s not listed at the Asus site.. I noticed when I ran my -F that they like to scrub bios versions.

got a 3d printed red dragon under my gpu. :)

120mm top rear exhaust and 140mm rear exhaust, and 3x120mm front intake (can't see any of that in the picture)

looks even cooler when the glass side panel is on, but its hard to take pictures with it on. best rig I ever built, though to be fair NZXT shipped the case with insane cable management already done... still can't believe they put this case on a $59 sale last year when I got it. easily the highest quality case I have ever owned. I love how I just push a button for the side panel to come off, I also really like how easy the magnetic dust filters on this case work. This may be the last case I ever own, really top notch quality, well done NZXT. no RGB, its just very slick looking, with the red dragon in the bottom/rear complimenting all the red up front.

specs for those on mobile.

I got the XFX MERC edition, it is built like a tank. I love it so much I already got the warranty registered which gives me 3 year warranty on it for free (better than any other brand offers to my knowledge). I tried starcraft 2, and I got some hitching in it, so I did some tinkering, basically you just have to go into radeon drivers, force enhanced sync and force freesync on for this game only (i leave enhanced sync off for all my other games) and it works perfect now, no more hitching. smooth as butter.

in God of War, I was getting some hitching issues as well, so I disabled page file and it works perfect, buttery smooth, other than those two games... the dozen other games I have tried have all played without a single issue, rock solid drivers.

Witcher 3 Directx12, there is a scene in Hearts of Stone expansion where you cross a bridge into a small village, and it doesn't matter if i was on my gtx 1070 laptop, my old 6800 xt rig, it would stutter every single time, drove me nuts, i tried loads of fixes to no avail. well, this new rig of mine 5600x3d and 7900 xt - not a single stutter. its a dream come true. i can finally play everything i want smoothly (some tinkering required for like 5% of the games i play) but vast vast majority of games needed no tinkering at all during my testing and just worked flawless. I am getting almost XTX like fps in demanding games... and Starfield was most likely going to be purchase for me this year anyway. Got the card for $705 on Prime Day sales. Got the 5600x3d for $200 with a coupon at Microcenter, that's 200 after tax mind you. Very good deals. @freeagent  Frost Commander over and out

this is my first time owning XFX and I have to say I am very impressed with it, never breaks 75 celsius hotspot even in most demanding things at like 52% max fan speed (its fairly quiet at this speed as well), in most games the hotspot doesn't even break 65 celsius, the 75 is very rare super demanding titles and fully oc'd, it just feels like a very solid card, its all metal, lot of great design features on it that I like such as the ribbed and thicker metal backplate with thermal pads on the backplate, and the backplate has a hole cut out for air to still get through on the far end of it, its a great engineering design, even the support bracket for it is kind of innovative, it seems to work well, no rgb on this card either or in my rig at all, which is bonus imo. it all looks very sleek and is not distracting. the 5600x3d never breaks 60 celsius (I am running -30 all core and my r23 multi score beats stock 5600x r23 multi score, even in demanding games, for some reason it runs much cooler than 5800x3d's run. i wasn't expecting two cores less to make that much of a difference in temps, but i guess it does. i love how cold this rig runs.

I really love my little red dragon in it :love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:

(fyi, it looks way way better in person, I suck at taking pictures) also not in the picture, I have taken a red colored pencil that matches my case color red exactly, and cut it to size, to just slightly help the end of my gpu's support bracket, so this thing will never ever sag now, and it looks great. it's a big ass card though, very long, and 4.5 slots in use. I love it this way personally, more cooling, and it looks epic. I love all the metal, goes well with my icey blue metallic cpu heatsink.

had the rig for about 3 weeks now I believe, 10/10 been rock solid for me. AMD is kicking ass these days, don't listen to all the negativity. Not going to lie, DLSS and frame generation would be nice to have, but eh I don't care in the end, I prefer running native and just turning down in-game settings, I don't like changing. even if I had a 4090 I wouldn't use ray tracing, I just prefer higher frames for ultimate smoothness. i literally don't have a single complaint on this rig. wish was my ram was slightly better, but meh it doesn't really matter in the end, i got both ram kits super cheap and x3d cpu's don't really care about ram as much as regular cpu's do.

edit: I should mention my gpu has 0 coil whine. I either lucked out, or using two separate power cables really does help.

I just did a cooler and fan swap. I also did some cable rerouting to make this board feel more at home :D

There are some new OC features that I did not have access to before :)

Now to plug it in and hope it still works

Just swapped out my pump/res/top so i can use the new DDC4.2 i bought. The other top/res i had was too small(imo) The DDC 4.2 is a mental pump, flow with my loop is crazy on 100% The metal cover on the pump has nice airflow over it too, so should stay nice and cool. I might stick a temp sensor to it and connect it to the OCTO fan controller. Just waiting on a AQ next flow sensor coming too.

Painted my MNPCTech billet grilles (2 of them at least) and added them to the front of my Evolv X case 140mm Chromax fans on the radiator. Chromax fans throughout. Got some carbon fiber in various spots in the case now too. Had to pull one memory kit while my other rigs ram is rma'd. 5" LCD up front too. Looking to upgrade boards for when the upcoming cpus come out. Not to buy one, to buy a previous gen...

A couple weeks ago I got a 4000D airflow off amazon for about € 80 (prime day sale). Time to retire the old Xaser III.
It's a beatiful case, extremely simple but well built. The sheet metal feels a bit thin but honestly at that price some compromises need to be done.
I've moved both the provided fans to front top and mid, added another two to front bottom and exhaust (arctic F12).
