Hi, I've a question for the memory Pro's. overclockers :) I've a c-die memory kit, 3600 cl18 dual rank 18-22-22-22-42-64 optimized and working good. is it worth buying b-die memories according i play football manager 2023 and F1 23 from perfomance point of view? Thanks a lot for your attention.

Imo if you can buy a guaranteed B die kit, why not. I run mine at 4000 16.16.16.38

You would be better off upgrading something else, like graphics card, CPU, or NVMe storage.

This.

RAM is definitely not a bottleneck in your system.

For football manager i'm not sure a CPU or GPU upgrade will be worth it either.

Edit- just looked at football manager 23 requirements and his system far exceeds them. Even for F1 23 it right on the money requirements wise.

Generally speaking, upgrading RAM to tighten timings is probably the upgrade that yields the smallest performance increase. We're talking 5% max, but mostly something like 1-2%.

i know that f123 is most gpu intensive but FM23 is more memory and cpu intensive. And those games more gpu intensive what's the advantage in a perfomance point of view we get? a dual rank 32Gb b-die kit 14-14-14-34-2N 3200 costs 162 euros, and a 14-14-14-34 3600 242 euros.

This is what i have, a good kit imo for DD4 for the price. and they will do 3600 14.14.14. for less than 242 euro

Don't sweat missing that deal across the pond.
You'll be much better off putting your money toward a GPU upgrade as stated VS the RAM.

A GPU you can carry across to a future machine, all that RAM not (if the future is DDR5)

you need a gpu upgrade to run this game on higher fps,

You already have a not horrible memory setup, not worth it in my opinion unless you get the B die for way cheaper than it usually costs. o/c isnt assured either, might hit a clock wall or end up with a silicon loser dimm that needs excessive voltages.

Also take into account DDR4 has been replaced on newer platforms so think of how long you will keep your platform for.

Is it worth it? Nah, not really. Is it worth it to you? Maybe? How much longer do you plan on keeping your current rig? And are you into tweaking memory? If you like messing with timings and voltage and you don't see yourself moving onto a new platform anytime soon then sure, swing away!
