My Titan X Pascal finally died, RIP. I got it on release Aug 2016 and it's been in service under water since day one. I gave it to my kid after replacing in late 2020. The good ole Titan died a few days ago. It was shunt modded from day one too. I think it died due to my kid running it at or near max clocks and forgetting the AB profiles so it probably ran at max clocks like that for close to a year. The card card died a couple days ago. My son elected to go large and got a 7900xtx Aqua, straight drop-in for his loop. Crosses fingers we get 7 years out of this one too.

that's awesome, do you have to clean the water and add fresh distilled water when you make a change like that?

Technically it's possible to plumb it up with the way the loop and QDC are used in the loop, ie. makes swapping gpus easy. However in this case due to how long it's been running we'll be doing some loop maintenance. I might switch it to an auto coolant mix instead of distilled and pc coolant concentrate. This is also to make sure the cooling is in tip top shape considering how nutty the power limit on the Aqua card is.

I just got the BIOS of the ROG Strix B550-F Gaming updated to the latest. It's in another case. Disappointed that it came with a BIOS 2006 (from 2021, it looks like, which supports Vermeer, but there were plenty of bugfix updates!) The original BIOS caused more RAM to be marked as "reserved" than the current BIOS.

I picked up a Lenovo ThinkCentre M720q Tiny machine yesterday with i5-8400T no ram or sata ssd or so I thought a oem SanDisk 240GB SSD was still in there and a 90watt charger.

I paid around £58 / 67 euro / 72USD for the little tiny one, added 2x16GB Crucial DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (System Spec RAM) for £59 / 69 euro / 74USD and added a Gigabyte M30 1TB with 2GB DDR3L cache Gen3 I got from work so I think in total when my lille server for my Plex is done it's like £175 / 204euro / 219USD for a little mean machine I can also change out the cpu another time and find a pci-e riser from lenovo to add second m.2. inside if I want to.

It's running the lastest version of Win11 UK, and gonna have my 16TB Plex drive in a Orico USB 3.0 case which has performanced really well in the past.

For more specs from Lenovo check the psref pdf file here and see what it can be configured with even a i9-9900T but it's properly hella expensive.

Even with the i5, it's an awesome little HTPC, and/or laptop replacement (provided you take it somewhere with access to a monitor). Congrats! :)

Thank you and for the price even my dad is jelly and want to upgrade his older tiny which got a i5-6400T and 32GB DDR4 2400MHz ram so maybe in like 5 or 6 weeks I will get one for my dad, he uses it as his main streaming pc, email and so on with his 65inch LG CX OLED tv.

I am planing on having it on my table it's low power so running it as a server makes sense for me, with these electricity prices here will be perfect.
Yes I know streaming to my S23 or laptop would sound dumb I know but having my whole library available is nice plus I got this plan for a couple of years to sit up a smaller family cloud service for their photos on it and yes downloading the data on the devices will suck with only 65mbps in upstream but hi everything counts when it works :).

Optiplex 790 w/ i5 2400 and 12gb ram with a 500gb hard drive for 80 dollars

Local buy/sell electronics type store bought a bunch of off-lease workstation type machines. I had originally bought a Dell Precision T3600 workstation with a Xeon E5 1603 from this shop but the mainboard crapped out overnight on me, throwing all sorts of trouble codes back at me the next morning when I went to start it up.

Gotta find a cheap low profile gpu so this thing can actually do a small bit of gaming. I had an old HD 8470 from an HP desktop I bought a number of years ago that would work great in this thing but I can't for the life of me find it

Could it have originally been 2x4GB, with another 4 GB RAM stick added?

Watercool Heatkiller reservoir, Dual D5's, and the MO-RA3 420 D5-dualtop Module for my MO-RA3 360 LT.

I'm just testing the D5's now and what fan orientation hence only 3 in the pic. I'll still need a few more qdc's, a digital waterflow sensor, maybe different fans, and figuring out the best solution for power.

Thanks. With the pace modern GPUs are advancing across generations, I sure hope so. :)

So I'll get the code from AMD, not the retailer?
Don't forget you will have to have the qualifying hardware installed on the PC that you use to redeem the key. If not it won't let you get onto the AMD site to get the Game key.
