That one is on my short list too. Best cooler according to der8auer.

It looks good, really understated too, has RGB but not too bright. I looked at Der8bauer vid and it is a very good block.

Just think about: der8auer is an influencer who tries to lead you to buy that article.
I bought a LianLi O11XL Rog. That case was also recommended by the 8auer. To be honest. that case was a piece of crap. The cooling/ventilation was really poor. I would recommend you to hold on real measurements and your brain instead by believing an influencer. Just my 5 cents.

Cannot deny the core 1 beat the other blocks. results matter.

I didn't know that there is a neutral comparision out there which compares the Core1 with the Watercool and EKWB coolers. I have only seen a comparision between the Core 1 and the EKWB Velocity². But non against the Heatkiller IV Pro or the EKWB Magnitude. I don't know how this cooler performs against them.

Don't trust on a word of an influencer. The influencer praises something not based on facts but only based on assumptions. It's pure advertizing. It's like a TV-Spot. Nobody would trust that either. ;)

Do you consider TPU neutral? Then you have at least a comparison between the Core1 and the Magnitude, alongside other models. Not any Watercool model, though.

I will buy a cpu cooler within the next time. There are 3 interesting models available:

1. TechN AM5 Cooler
2. Watercool Heatkiller IV Pro
3. Alphacool Core 1

With neutral i mean a comparision between coolers at single testbench and a high load of at least 15 mins. I don't care about the forum/magazine. Same environment for all. I found some comarisions without the Core 1 included.

I found all over 5 comparisms all based on AM4.

I don't know how reliable that tests are but i can trust a bit on IgorsLab and Guru3D.

If the Core 1 would be also integrated one could choose on his own preferences. If the coolers are good ones. If the pricetag is worth to pay for the better measurements etc.

But i would never trust on an influencer and his words. If so i would also trust on all the commercials on TV. Both have the same value. It is not mentioned negative but It's only a logical result of a second of using a brain. Especially as the results are based on only a view values in difference to i.e. cases.

Did you watch this? it is not based on his opinion but tests. Der8auer is pretty respected i think for his non biased testing and expertise.

The Core 1 is the best block and far better than the way overpriced EK ones.

The Core 1 is the best block and far better than the way overpriced EK ones.

1. Counter example: If he (der 8auer) would be that great he wouldn't have given his reputation/name for the holy crap of the Lian Li O11XL ROG Edition case. ;) (if ones substitute the "8" by a "B" then this is the german name for "Bauer"="Farmer"). Also it wouldn't have been advertized that he also designed on that. The whole airflow in this case is a piece of sh*t. And that is well known and often discussed.

2. I'm not interested in EKWB coolers. They are much to high priced for their value. I discussed this topic already at an other Thread in another forum directly with an Alphacool-employee. ;) I'm thinking about the TechN CPU Cooler AM5, Watercooler Heatkiller IV Pro or an Alphacool XPX Aurora Pro coolers. And at least one of them is not found at any round up. Btw. Also the Optimus coolers aren't found.

I also define the EKWB Magnitude as much too overpriced. They are nowhere the leader. Neither in temperatures nor in the flow. So I got to the opinion that EKWB only wants to make cash with their reputation without any real advantage. It's not only about that coolers. It's about their whole line of products.

3. I didn't say anything about the Core 1. I said that one should not trust on influencers. No matter about product or the name/image/... of the influencer. That is a quite different story. Be really happy with it. Might the force be with you. Only the reason/explanation for that buy is really strange.

To be fair, "WE" used to have some incredible testers but the testing load got too great and they have lives and were not paid for their work. Testers like Martin retired and watercooling has suffered because he wasn't there to use science to corroborate claims. If Martin had been from this youtube era he could have survived due to being able to monetize his work.

I bought it because in most if not all the tests of it, it beats every other block even the very good HK IV pro, which should come with an included backplate but does not thereby increasing the price.

You don't need to explain me why you are buying something. You are not accountable to me. Be happy with your cooler and may the cooler works as you want to. I was also thinking about this cooler because of some reviews. But i didn't select that one because of the design. I heard from a AC employee that alphacool will deploy an Apex CPU cooler next summer or so. Also they gonna initiate/setup two new lines of products. The core and the Apex product line. But that's for me more rumors than anything else.

To be fair, "WE" used to have some incredible testers but the testing load got too great and they have lives and were not paid for their work. Testers like Martin retired and watercooling has suffered because he wasn't there to use science to corroborate claims. You gonna test what you want to. Also you or anyybody else is not accountable to me. Keep cool and calm. My statement hasn't been against anybody. I only say that he is an influencer. He has a task to get products sold. If not he wouldn't be worth the money or whatever he get's. All that is his story. In the way of reviews i trust only a few (less than five) publications. And no influencer is a member of that list.

I believe that it is a hard work. I don't oc because of that work. That would take much too much of my rare time to prozess. I made one benchmark of my actual system and i will do one from my new one to see how much the calculation power raised. I also don't use to publish that values. I don't need that for making money or for my self esteem. My machine has to make money with the generation preparing and slicing of 3D printing models. I build my rigs only for myself. I'm not interested that anybdy says how great or keen i am. ;)

Just got an ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming OC and a Corsair RM1000x SHIFT PSU a couple of days ago.
To replace my Asus RTX 3080 TUF ... boy oh boy what a difference.
(My old 1000w PSU was 7 years old and I couldn't find any of the extra cables)

EDIT

I think I also need a new monitor now .. to play games in 4K HDR

You're suggesting a 43" to someone who is currently using a 27"? At least consult what available space there is

This looks really nice. Just looked it up and it's actually cheaper than the GPU.
Sadly I think 43 Inch is too much for my desk.
( But now I got an itch)

Wanted a new, and powerful tablet that can handle games, but it MUST be around 8" or so, but I didn't want to pay too much. So, I went with a Lenovo Legion Y700 2022 128/8GB model, comes with a SD 870 CPU, so it's pretty responsive, much more responsive compared to my basic Lenovo Tab M9.

Bought a case to go with it, went with a case with a magnetic detachable cover, which I found to be unusual, so I went with it...

Bought a new tiny soundbar that is USB powered, sound quality isn't great, but good enough for YT which I've been watching a lot of. I didn't want to power up my Philips soundbar just for YT, besides, I'm saving some electricity going with this USB power speaker. Also bought a case for my Flip5, I'll admit, I love transparent cases. Also got a couple of USB cables that are RGB, which automatically make them more efficient and charge faster, and a 512GB mSD card for the Legion Y700.

sounds bars honestly make sense for use desktop users... i never thought about it until now, but yeah probably not a bad idea really.

How is the 4090 Gaming OC doing? Have mine and it's perfect. (No coil whine or issues.)
