RTX4000 owners club

Raise of hands who got a 4090 TUF OC/non OC, I myself am using the OC version(no nonOC at MC) since launch w/ a 5800X/32Gb 3600 cl16/LG C1 48"(Evo). I think like most people here I'm just glad to have a good 4K 120hz GPU, and man is it great with OLED. Planning to upgrade CPU next, so far my 5800X has been holding me down using the 4090 for 4K 120. I'll add a flashy pic tomorrow when I hopefully switch my Fuma 2 with an AIO to show off the Glory(If I dont then I'll post current setup).

Very cool rig :D, how is the 42in C2 treating ya? I have lots of fun with the 48in CX and was wondering if 42in could be better or worse...

Yeah our club comprise of very heavy gamers it seems, everyone is too busy playing game to post here . View attachment 282870
I have both the CX and C2 Oleds. I had to wall mount the CX to make it comfortable on my first rig but the C2 fits nicely on the desk for my second rig. I guess it all depends on the locatioin.

Hah thanks

Trying to take a pic went to set the rgb on the zotac software and it derped out on me after I clicked on external and no matter what it just wouldn't turn on again, might have to power discharge the system or something to see if it comes back on or plug it on a different pc. Didn't have enough time to get it working b4 leaving for work :ohwell:

Same thing happened to me, and it's a common issue with Firestorm going all the way back to the GTX10x0 series.

I documented that in this thread:

Zotac wanted me to RMA the card, but I found a solution, there's a way to reset the RGB controller in your card.

A Zotac admin in their own website posted a file in an obscure post for the Spectra support page, I had to read through all the posts to find it, you can download the file here:

Now, that fix worked for my card, and fixed the issue, but a few caveats:

The file was uploaded by a Zotac employee in Taiwan, and it doesn't have a digital signature, so windows will prevent you from running it.l, not even Zotac's American support seemed to be aware of this fix' existence, when I brought it to their attention.

Second, many people who had the same issue on Reddit tried the file and it didn't fix their cards, in those cases the only solution is to RMA your card.

And third, I obviously take no responsibility over what this file may do to your card or your PC, I was desperate and tried everything, cleaning my drivers, uninstalling firestorm, formatting my PC, updating my card's BIOS, trying the card in my son's PC, nothing seemed to fix the issue.

I wanted to avoid at all costs having to RMA my almost brand new card, after all, it was Zotac's own software that broke the RGB lights, and the card was otherwise performing normally.

That's when out of desperation I found that file and decided to give it a shot, I honestly hope it works for you, and you don't have to RMA your card.

You can read all about how I fixed my card in this post:

Good luck, let me know if you decide to give it a try and hope it works for you as it did for me.

One last thing, for all Zotac owners out there, don't use Firestorm, the software is broken and it may actually break your card forcing you to RMA it!

I think I might just remove it for a few hours and then plug it in on another system, I belive this card as well as others I've had in the past revert to their default rainbow style. The lights do work btw since after a 10 sec discharge and powering it on it did do its red light power on animation. But yeah will try a few things and report back if I figure out something.

How to disable 4070ti PNY RGB (non-OC version) ?..

Tried that my self, hope it works for you, good luck! :pimp:

Resident Evil 4 demo will use about 20GB max out!

Got a new addition to the club, this one is pretty unique if I may say so.

This is a laptop RTX 4070, in a tablet, specifically, an Asus ROG Flow Z13 ACRNM edition.

I know what some of you may be thinking, who wants a tablet with a 4070? And honestly, I've been wanting a device like this ever since Microsoft released the Surface many years ago, something ultra portable but still fast enough to decently run modern games.

This is the 65W version of the 4070, but it still runs every game I've installed at full native resolution and high to ultra details, when using RT, DLSS is a most though.

The aluminum unibody is pretty wild, but this is the only version of the Z13 with 32GBs of DDR5 and a 4070.

To see this much power crammed in tablet form is just wild to me, and frankly, I just love the fact that this little device will run anything you throw at it!

Hope you guys like it, I know it's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but this thing is just as fast as my previous 3080 based laptop, that fact alone blows my mind!

Such an awesome little device man, I watch some 4070 laptop reviews and thought that this GPU would be great in thin and light laptop because of its efficiency, and here you have a tablet with 4070, crazy :D.

If I were to travel a lot as I used to, I would love to have this awesome tablet

I guess I never posted here.... Forgot about this thread.

Have you guys tried out stable diffusion on the 40 series it's pretty neat

These were all from telling the AI to make an Nvidia Bikini model I guess that means green bikini lmao. I didn't mess around with it too long but it seemed to get better and better at it as I picked images I liked that it made.

Thank you!

I remember when the Surface first came out and people could play old games like Age of Empires or even run emulators, I was always fascinated by such devices, I also almost got the Razer Edge, many years ago, the first tablet with a discrete gpu, a device almost a decade ahead of its time.

I feel like this tablet here is the culmination of that dream, to be able to play AAA games on such form factor system, can’t believe PCs have finally achieved this goal.
Very interesting times we live in for sure:lovetpu:

Last two 4090 builds I helped pick were intended for stable diffusion and other AI work. Who knows, maybe next GPU shortage will be due to everyone hogging them for AI use.

Got me a ASUS TUF RTX 4070 TI OC. Reason its 40 teraflops fast and my PS5 I used before for most games is only 11 teraflops. Also I dont want to be depended on PS5 game prices, since on PC there are a lot of bargains, sales and generally better prices. PS5 games, if bought on disc, I could resell though

Just built a mini PC for friend with some insane specs :)
20230608_135421.jpg

Case Asus Prime ap201
13900k
Z790m aorus elite
2x 48GB 5600MT Corsair
2x 2TB samsung 980pro
Galax 4080
FSP Dagger pro 850W ATX3

just wanna say a huge "thank you" to all techpowerup staff
flashed my ordinary Gigabyte Eagle OC with Aorus Elite and brands like it, allowing 130w power draw vs 113 on oc eagle, nearly 3ghz stable oc in 2077.
accompanied by 5700x 4.5 stable oc and G.Skill 3600 oc to cl14, 990 pro, 850w seasonic, windows10pro tweaked
now I can play 2k tweaked (volumetric clouds off, fog off, crowds low).
I guess I just made it to the Major League
