Just going through some old threads, PC ATM fro 2008. The poster has not been seen sense 2012. He used Image shack so the pictures are still there.
Sure would be cool if the TPU pictures didn't get accidentally wiped. We've come along way lol

So if i understand correct. That exstender cable causing the system to crash and reset?
Yes it is OEM powersupply and when i use the extender even in bios i see voltage drops

edit: may be extender cable where too thin idk
He meant the radiator with fan zip- tied to it.

Your implementation is spot on. Especially the way it was mocked up being perfect for this thread.
Oh i get it now :D its from my father's car, heater was not hot enough and they buy new radiator for it.

Used some acid to clean inside (multiple times) lucky it didn't leak at the end.

Automotive radiator fluid.
GFuel works better for overclocks.

Side question, any got any pointers for hacking metal in a case (I've got 200mm front fans but they're not free flowing into the case due to frame support for the 120/140mm fans/radiators)

Angle grinder, Dremmel or metal scisor...choice is yours. Remeber to get all components out before the operation and to give a propper cleaning for metal debris.

Had the same issue with smaller fan mounts and after the airflow it's improved by a lot.

Have fun!

Thanks taka, I'll report back with how many bandaids I needed to put on when the job is done. Chuck in a few before and after shots too (pc and fingers maybe)

Dremel. One slip with an angle grinder could cut the f out of your case. Metal snippers will warp and leave cut marks all over.

No no, as an aussie my level of desire to 'try something equal parts stupid and dangerous with zero experience', is very high.

I'll overthink the hell out of it before I make a single mod.

Decent quality masking tape is your friend in most situations. This is to protect your finished edge and inwards. If your test area (first place you cut) isn't working, try another way.

Surface finish and material composition are good to understand the properties of. Low heat and slow cut still warps if you put the wrong pressure into your work area. A working understanding of the fact someone smarter than you decided that much material was required also helps, but eh. Toss up if it was them or legal.

Sometimes a gazillion RPM Dremel with a gazillion attachments is the answer. Prep, cut, sand, burnish... eff up and post the debacle here. Whatever.

Nah, Hard Yakka and be done with it. :p

Hi,
No sure how ghetto it is but modifying a couple m.2 heatsinks to fit into a new laptop was fun and risky so I guess the risky part is the ghetto part but 63c max on both is very

1701884711755.png

Look closely I did add blue electrical tape on the bottom and some of the sides where stuff is really close

That´s K2 engine gasket silicone on a red stabilizing ruler mounted on an ikea l-bracket held on with a noctua "swivel" and elevated with gpu holder-sticks from a mining rig :D

And before the crypto hate starts, that´s what i bought the mining rig for:
