I won't rule out my eyesight as the source of the problem!I never had any of the visual problems you have mentioned. You might want to go the eye doctor mate. I played over 40+ games on my Deck and absolutely 0 issues in being able to see small things.
The game that made me go squinty with the Deck was Yoku's Island Express, which because of your comment I am currently running on my 27" 4K monitor to evaluate my vision. I no longer possess the Deck to make a direct comparison. But even at 4K the game has very soft antialiasing, background blur, bloom effects, blown-out highlights, and crucial in-game objects which are small enough that I can completely cover them with my thumb pressed against the display. In addition, almost the whole scene is in motion all the time: swaying grass, gyrating plants, and a sunny/shady cycle every few seconds. When rendered at 720p it is pure mush. The Deck had to contend with all that, plus its screen was probably smudgy with fingerprints.
