Today my order of 10L Isopropanol alcohol came. I'm still awaiting the swat team because of this. :D Originally i need that liquid for claning resin prints. Also my order of 18 EKWB Torque HDC-16 Satin titanium fittings came and the Eisrohr translucent satin tubes came yesterday. I'm prepared if i would need hardtubes for my new build.

I got a 4 pack of airtags. Wanted to get something compatible with Android, but there's nothing like it for Android. Got one for the dog, the others for purses and backpacks and such.
Google are only just starting to roll out "Find my device" (in the US & Canada only for now), compatible trackers launch at the end of the month.

Is it an illegal stuff or something in your country ?
I buy it to clean resin like you, by large quantity, and it's totally OK here :)

Also here in germany it is legal. But only with a hell of warning stickers.I bought it from Amazon marketplace: But nobody knows what policemen are thinking. If they have the opinion one could build a bomb... :D

If any of you ever want to experience the THOCK THOCK THOCK of a mech keyboard, but are working with a budget, this keyboard has that THOCK THOCK feel and sound that even some of my higher end mech boards don't have. I'd wait until black friday though, I bought this a year or two ago for like 23 bucks, but just now getting around to comparing it with my other mech boards. I am genuinely impressed. Going to be my daily driver for a bit, then I will probably switch back to the mech board I built with Akko Fairy and Yellow Cream Pro switches.

View attachment 345652
then get a Thock 75% (or 3 ... if you really want "THOCK THOCK THOCK" )... from Endorfy ... at least it's exaclty like that one but with F keys and INS above DEL  although it would double the price over that one ... man, sure these F keys are expensives ... i guess they say F-you  (well maybe it would be cheaper for you ... as i bought mine locally  )

also a pudding type key (kept mine after the change on the previous page ;) ) i quite like these kind

what switches on that one? did they specify it, or will you only be able to see it when you receive it? (hot swap is , now, a major criteria for me and to see that at that price: Kudos G.Skill )

ah... forgot you have an Akko with cream switches ... well ... fast reading old post, yeah

Darn, just a little too late.
Pretty sure it's going to be useless unless you have a Pixel 7 Pro or 8 Pro, anyway.

Picked up 16GB ddr4 to move my storage server up to 24GB. Bought a Intel 4790 for my tinkering rig (it has a 4460 now, which scores 6th place for the cpu in PCMark after tweaking). Also got a new Nintendo Switch Mario controller so we can have four when gaming in the theater. Ill try and get some pics up, but its not very exciting stuff, lol.

Not that it is really needed, but I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy changing/upgrading my water cooling set-up (especially the building part) and go for a dual D5 pump setup, mainly for redundancy.
Already have some possible unconventional setup possibillities in mind, but still not decided. Once I have them in my hands the gray matter will get more creative ;) .
My current FreezeMod domestic (China) D5 clone is still doing good, but gets noisy over 4200 rpm (sounds like cavitation on the impeller).

So for my summer holliday project I just ordered two Alphacool Eisball reservoirs with VPP Apex pumps and some minor modding stuff.

Eisball with VPP Apex.jpg

I just don't know how the reservoir material (transparent Nylon) will hold out and howe it will react with UV-light in the 315 ~ 400 nm wavelength range, but I guess I'll find out.
I noticed significant differences in how PETG (my current hard tubing) and Acrylic (my current tube reservoir) reacted on UV-A light.

I thought the VPP pumps were designed to be somewhere between a D5 and a DDC pump. Might be crazy though.

Nah, they pretty much perform on the same level as the Xylem (Laing) D5 @ 12V with 1/4"connections. One of the differences is the power connector is now SATA instead of Molex and compared to the previous VPP (655 & 755) pumps they changed the position of the coils to reduce vibrations. It's listed for 340 l/h with a max head pressure of 425hPa so according to the known formulas and calculations more than enough.
Proven fact is that 100 l/h is sufficient for regular systems to keep a stable temperature at the equbrillium in a regular water cooling loop and more flow rate will only improve cooling efficiency marginally.

https://shop.alphacool.com/shop/pumpen/vpp-d5/13339-alphacool-vpp-apex-pump
https://www.xylem.com/siteassets/brand/goulds-water-technology/resources/brochure/br-19b-d5.pdf

As I have a rather restricted loop due to dynamic friction (1 x CPU block, 1 X GPU block, 4 x 120x45 rads, 1 x 480x45 rad and plenty of 90 degree elbows), the pressure will dictate the possible flow. At the moment my current pump can only deliver about 350 hPa maximum, which results in approximatley 130 l/h. I'm not expecting to to get a turbulent flow with the new pumps instead of a laminair flow, but at least a minor improvement with more headroom.

My intention is to put them in series instead of parallel, just have to give the airbleeding of the second resevoir some good thoughts to prevent it from becoming a pressure accumulator and lose the advantage of centrifugal pumps in series.
Secondary, I'll have to increase the leak testing pressure a little before introducing a cooling liquid in the system, just to be sure.
But that makes it fun to get it to work the way I want, like mentioned in my post, not needed but hell, everybody is in title to have a hobby right?

My understanding is that only the Pixel 6 Pro, 7 Pro, 8 Pro / Fold (and some recent high end Samsung models) have the UWB radios built in, or at least enabled.

Hilarious to me that the Laing D5 is still relevant, much less still top choice in many situations, given the last time I was in to custom loop water-cooling the 8800 Ultra was the best gaming graphics card money could buy.

100 W single port, or split across two type C and one type A. Folds the power prongs so is quite compact when I travel. For laptop, phone, power bank. At home I have the Samsung 10,000 mAh wireless power bank on my computer desk plugged in, then just place my phone or earbuds on it to charge. Very convenient.

Charge my Maxwell headphones around once a week off it too.

I don't like having multiple proprietary chargers and wires everywhere, so this approach works well for me.

I also enjoy not putting strain cycles on my phone's (replaceable but tricky to do so) type C port, so wireless charging is ideal in that sense. I normally keep it between 20 and 90%.

Having Avata and Mavic in my backpack/car trunk is one of my dreams. Since I'm getting older, my body can't keep up with the mind anymore. I plan to use RC instead of RC motion with Goggles for a superb handling and immersion.

Thermalright has a cheaper option for phase change (paste replacement for CPU's that is solid until it reaches 45 Celsius) and it cools and lasts slightly better than paste apparently too. Another TPU member told me to put in the freezer for a few minutes before applying it, as it will be easier to apply slightly cold. Thermalright also has instructions on the product page, the bad reviews I am guessing are just from people who did not follow the instructions.

Only $4? count me in.

I love the name too, makes me want to play AC Odyssey :rockout::rockout::rockout::rockout:
