My black Edifice EQW-T720 already looks like the black one but the silver one is just a cheapo entry level eco-drive. I mean I kind of do want one but Im not sure if they are worth the money.

Watches are never worth the money in my opinion. We live in the days of mobile phones that update their time automatically via the network. If you like wearing one, though, that's a different story.

They're luxury items, just like sports cars or gaming PCs. You don't buy them because they're worth the money. You buy them because you want to. :)

I'll always wear a watch even if i have my phone on me. Its what sets us apart from the rest of the riffraff. Somedays I wear my G-shock. other days I will wear my Casio depending on what im doing.

Maybe im just old fashioned like that

::EDITT::

Casio as in Edifice - not the G-shock although it is also made by Casio.

A watch gives a placebo effect of empowerment, also wearing a watch and checking the time from your wrist than pulling a phone out of pocket is cool.

I mainly wear my undone Astroboy watch now whenever I have a day out, my anniversary watch I got from my GF has now retired as the linkage have gone bad and I've lost all my spare linkage after moving out.
I do want to collect a couple of watches though, like the Seiko Ultraman&Kamen rider edition, G-shock Gundam editions, G-shock Tetsujin-28.
So yeah I mainly want themed watches, more than the "fashion" trending ones.

I just wanted to buy my ticket for Download, which wouldn't be a problem, but they're out of parking tickets, with zero availability on site. Dang, what a shitty Monday morning! :(

Edit: Also, there's no mention of RDNA 4 in the Computex AMD keynote, which was the whole reason why I was excited about that event. I'm already on Zen 4, which is plenty, so I don't need Zen 5, and I really don't give a flying ... about AI. This really isn't my day. :(

You just reminded me Casio did Gundam theme'd G-shocks... They look kinda meh. I mean some look good but the others are rather basiq.

1717417824280.png

I think the red and black are the best looking ones here.

I know they do a few more though...

1717417936197.png

This model here is the GD-100. Its a nice watch and i know this because I have one in black! I would consider this GD-100 gundam themed one if i didnt already have the standard.

It also comes in ZEON :laugh: I aint no Zeon simp but i'd take this one

1717418074560.png

But yes. My GD-100 is my daily driver for most days and days where im more outdoorsy. While my Edifice is what i'll occasionally wear to more casual meet and greets but normally reserved for more official outings like work and such.

Wanted the Citizen but i decided its better to keep the money and put it towards a new PC instead. Maybe i'll pick up a new watch next year.

The stainless steel was £150 originally but the 25% off brings it down to £112.50

::EDIT::

Added it to basket. So close to paying for it :laugh:

Yeah the GD-100 Gundam and Zeon were the ones I wanted when they got announced.
The newer ones, wouldn't mind the Unicorn or Banshee.
The recent Seiko UltraSeven and Shin Kamen Rider

The issue I have with the Unicorn one is once the strap is done. The watch itself becomes just another G-Shock unless you can find an original replacement. Incredibly lazy design.

As for the Kamen Rider watches. Probably a little too retro looking for me, although If i had the cash Id lean towards the Shin Kamen Rider one as it looks more of a modern/vintage omega that my grandpa used to wear. Omega were super popular in hong kong somewhere between the 60s and 80s. My grandpa had at least 3 of them alongside his seikos.

Unfortunately im not sure what happened to them when he passed away. I dont think any of my uncles were watch people and probably thought his watches were all cheap junk so threw them away.

I do have my other grandfathers omega though but its pretty beat up for its age.

Well I mean when they came out they were like £110-£150? Which they weren't that bad in price, at least in comparison to what 2nd hand sellers are charging now.
That is unfortunate about your grandpa watches though. =/
But yeah I really like the Seiko Monster hunter watches though, being a MH fan.

Alright. Hold the fuckin phone while I find out where i can get one of these from....

::EDIT::

Uhhh £452 on ebay.

actually no. these turned out to be a scam and got deleted.

::EDIT 2::

$660 from the USA. So around £516'ish before shipping and import duty. Import duty is roughly going to be around £80-100'ish or more if my past experience is correct. Shipping maybe $60-80 depending on carrier. Youre going to want insurance on that thing.

I do love the look but I dont think my wallet is ready for that sort of pain.

::EDIT 3::

I would probably take the poor mans way out and find a Seiko that looked similar for half the price :laugh:

No harm in pre-ordering from hobby -genki they are quite reasonable with their delivery.
It should be just about under £400 maybe haha with the current exchange rate from £ Vs JP yen.

No harm in pre-ordering from hobby -genki they are quite reasonable with their delivery.
It should be just about under £400 maybe haha with the current exchange rate from £ Vs JP yen.

£400 is the price of an 7800X3D so thats going to be a no from me unfortunately. Maybe i'll have a look again after I sort out a new pc.

Heresy! You'll never get the same experience on a small screen as seeing your favourite bands live on a big stage. What has the world become? :ohwell:

get a 5.1 home theatre set up. Some drugs and alcohol and you'll be too far gone to notice. Just dont piss in your garden pond or aquarium. I dont think the kois would like that.

I live in an apartment, so no danger of that happening. I'm not so sure that my neighbours would love my 5.1 setup as much as I would, though. :laugh:

But do you need a 7800X3D??

I could do with a 7700X but worst case scenario I could save a tonne of money by building an AM4 machine

There are some deals to be had for a 5700X3D or 5800X3D and B550 higher end boards are pretty cheap these days in the greater scheme of things.
