Backplate for RTX A2000....I know, would've been a nice exercise to make it myself in Freecad and then throw it on the desktop CNC, but I gotta pick my battles. Currently reverse engineering the copper mod from "Coolmygpu" -> I roughly traced back the image from their website, now I need to get the dimensions right. :) (last image is my current progress).

The DRAM should in the 2nd slot from the CPU. You have it in the 3rd. That is probably why it took so long to post.
Actually it's in the 4th.

Feels good, the ballhead adjustment for tilt and rotation has got to be dumbest design element of this arm. Anyway, it's improvement over the one I had before because it gives me the height that I was missing (and then some) plus it's rated for 10 kg compared to the previous one that was rated at 6.5 kg max (and it showed at the mid joint on the old one was tilting forward).

I am now contemplating getting longer DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables so I could properly route them in the included cable channels.

It did have serious issues with my LG UltraGear 34GP950G-B as it started to tilt. No issues with the Philips screen at work though. If it does happen you're supposed to tighten the 3 screws in the ballhead.
I really do like the fact that you can just lift the arm of the base, which makes swapping monitors much easier. Enjoy!

I got a workbench a few days ago. It weights 40kg net. So i did need to build it up as it was delivered in parts. Sometimes it is real shitty to sit in a wheel chair. But i made it happen to have it mounted. Still on the wrong place. But it is mounted and stands. I need this workbench to place a 3D Printer and a Washing machine on top. Next i have to push the bench through half of the room to get it at the final place. Next month my new 3D Printer and Washing machine will be ordered and delivered.

My first 4K monitor, just arrived: Philips 288E2A -> 28" @ 3840x2160 @ 10-bit and my Quadro runs it at 10-bit and with some calibration it really shines. Text is crisp, colours are way different than I had before. Cost is €245 (shipping/VAT included), but I sold my old monitor and upgrade dropped to ~€169. Gotta invest in a monitor stand as this one only tilts, no height adjustment or swivel.

Was looking at getting that one as well, but it's been sold out for what seems like forever.
Right now I have what was pretty much the cheapest monitor arm on Amazon here and it's not what I would call great, but it does the job.

Same, I'd like something from Humanscale or another name brand but it's a want not a need.

Sure would be nice if proper desks and multi monitor arms didn't cost around £1k and £500, respectively. Thinking I'll just build a desk and pay up for the arm.

I finally joined the 2020s and bought a modern case. My low budget X99 build has been housed in a $20 Rosewill mATX case that was extremely cramped and had poor airflow. My main consideration was finding a modern case that can still support an optical drive. I discovered the Fractal Pop series has support for optical drives behind a removable cover at the bottom of the case and I was sold! Just completed transplanting all my parts into the case and am quite happy with it especially for the price. Plenty of room for cable management, plenty of air flow, actually really like the RGB fans (my first RGB anything in over 30 years of building PCs) and I love the fact that my ancient green PCB components still look OK in it though totally out of place lol!

Got a 10" tablet we'll be putting to more practical use around a small seating area in the kitchen. Mostly for the second half and kids. Already got a bluetooth mouse and a spare 1080p panel hooked up to the wall. She can now watch all her fav. streamed TV channels, movies, cooking shows, YT.... amongst other light productivity workloads, etc... (yep keep her in the kitchen longer and it might help produce more tasty meals in the long run hehe)

I'm now exploring how to hook up a spare and fully functional printer to the setup.. i know its possible but haven't tried printing using android devices.

I have been in the market for a nice watch for a long time. Originally, I was looking and budgeted for a Tudor Ranger. But the price kept creeping up. Decided to keep looking. Longines caught my eye, but not enough.

Then, while at the particle accelerator openhouse, dude had one like this, and I fell in love.

The technology? Ameriquartz.

ppfffff i doubt it ... japanese maybe would ... but ameri... well, you know what, yeah they do, plus that watch look just as nice as my Swatch Irony 4 jewel Chronograph/Tachymetre i got from my parents ;)

and, as long as it give accurate time : that's the essential :D

the Swatch in question, still need to adjust the wristband ... but damn she's gorgeous

Found a good deal on a 3T Superleggera high modulus carbon handlebar (170g) and 130 mm stem pair (140g).

Should save about 200 g from the cockpit just from the handlebar swap, and I've snagged these for around 1/5 RRP.

A lighter cockpit feels better for twitchy adjustments when manouvering, while still being stable since 44 cm, not a compact 38 or 40.

Check these out...TTT NOS.jpg
Im guessing from 2000 era. The packaging was trashed, but did its job. If you think they might fit, message me.
