Got a working Crosshair VII Hero, currently installing Win11. Aircooled for few weeks until I'll get a new res/pump-housing and moar tubes.

@Ruru got the old school cold cathodes too. Love it!! Also, love the 5000D. Beautiful case isn't it? Loved mine, moved up from it cause couldnt fit a 420mm rad in it.

I wish I would have a 5000D, mine is a 4000D. Can't put my rig under water with two rads until I get a smaller reservoir housing for my DCC pump.

Unfortunately I had my 1 or so year old VERTEX GX 1200 PSU fail on my over the weekend. PC just died on me while gaming, booted back up but then died again. Then it wouldn't power on, just the lights would flicker. I quickly tried another cheap PSU I had and it powered on so I knew it was most likely that. Lucky for me, Microcenter just opened up here in Miami so I went and got the same PSU again. Seasonics are great, I think I just got a bad one from Amazon. Anyhow, here's my rig after it's revival. I'll be RMA'ing the dead one since it's under warranty still.

I'm planning on moving to a larger case so I can add more radiators and another reservoir/pump. I'm also planning to switch to a more performance oriented fan (and more of them) and ditching that portion of the lite-brite.

Nice and clean, but all your fans are exhaust, which I guess could work, but the bottom ones should be blowing up towards the gpu, not sucking air away from its intakes...

D30 has reversed models enabling you to change airflow without having the frame showing, so it's probably setup with some of those as intake. https://phanteks.com/product/d30-120-black/

What Fokker said is correct. Side and bottom are intake, top and rear are exhaust. This way the front of the fan is always facing into the case, purely for aesthetics. ...and thank you for the compliment and Fokker for stating about the reverse blade.

Had to put all my cool case badges as well since they were on another case. Just some paperglue and it's enough for keeping them in place.

My gaming laptop, ASUS TUF F15 FX506HCB exhibit battery drain when powered off. I tried many things (disable sleep, disable fast boot, uninstall Armoury crate and use G-Helper and read few other 'tricks' from reddit) to no avail. The battery when I turn it off few days ago was around 92%. Today I boot up to this. I don't know what to do next. Last time I just disconnect the battery connector from the mobo for about a year or so and it still hold charge 98-99% from full charge when I last charge it.

Any peripherals that keep draining the battery? Mouse, USB-drive/hub, etc. Can you check if ErP in the bios is turn on/off?
My dad's Lenovo had this issue too, and I think it was the usb-hub that kept asking for power.

I don't have anything plugged to USB ports, usually I put it inside my laptop bag when not in use. I'll try to look for ErP setting in BIOS thanks!

EDIT: ErP is enabled in BIOS I'll try to disable it. We'll see what happen

I run the command and look at the report, nothing. You can see the report on attached file below. I don't believe its OS related though. I disabled sleep so maybe that's the reason it didn't register anything?

It may wash the logs with it being disabled. I haven't played with it enough to know for certain. I think on one of my other laptops I ended up disabling one of the power states to overcome rapid battery loss while suspended, but it's been too long for me to remember specifics.

Same old Corsair 760T bought in 2015 or 16. Same old ML140s purchased in 2017 and 2019 with almost burnt out white LEDs given its age.

New innards:

IMG_20240830_201000687_HDR~2.jpg

The camera on this phone messes with the light and it's not nearly as bright as seen in this picture. Overall. It's still quite an simple and understated build and I have always found these sort of builds more athletically pleasing than a rave going on inside my case.

The white LED strips were made by Cooler master. I wanted to replace them as some of the LEDs inside were dead but they have been discontinued and I'll have to settle for an more expensive RGB kit later on in the future.

Will see If I could get a better picture in a moment.

::edit::

Picture taken with old phone. The light is still very exaggerated.

IMG_20240830_202611.jpg

::EDIT 2::

I could probably swap out the fans on the heatsink for some with white LEDs if i wanted more light. That would probably create an imbalance though. The strength of this build was to always look very subtle rather than loud.

The camera on this phone messes with the light and it's not nearly as bright as seen in this picture. Overall. It's still quite an understated build and I have always found these sort of builds more athletically pleasing than a rave going on inside my case.

The white LED strips were made by Cooler master. I wanted to replace them as some of the LEDs inside were dead but they have been discontinued and I'll have to settle for an more expensive RGB kit later on in the future.

Will see If I could get a better picture in a moment.
For being a ~10yr old case, that looks great.

edit: it is actually 10 years old. Looks like that the first reviews are from early 2014.

::edit::

Picture taken with old phone. The light is still very exaggerated.

::EDIT 2::

I could probably swap out the fans on the heatsink for some with white LEDs if i wanted more light. That would probably create an imbalance though. The strength of this build was to always look very subtle rather than loud.

It's reminiscent of my UV build about 20 years ago. I had a Chieftec Dragon with a mountain of UV CCLs and LEDs in it. It glowed, but it was a nice, understated glow.

Damn how cool a modern setup would be in a Dragon. That was the dopest case in the early 2000s!
