Very underrated case for sure. I remember seeing them always being advertised in PC magazines and very few people had one

Around the same time I either had one of these icute cases...

but mine came with a different side panel.

After the icute, I had an NZXT Guardian followed by a thermaltake shark

So you could say my days of going crazy with flashy LEDs died pretty early on.

Mine was a special UV one. Didnt see many. You had to get the old school UV cold cathodes for it to really shine.

I've been finding it a little harder to find UV light for cases these days that was as effective as those cathodes.

Hell yeah. i was about to post this exact comment. I think mineral oil PCs came not long after the clear acrylic cases. Some folks started building their setups into a fish tank and cooling it with mineral oil because it wasnt electrically conductive.

Not a craze that lasted long or gained much ground really.

Oh yeah, LEDs (especially at the time) couldn't match the even light output. I had a number of 19" U shaped ones scattered through out my Dragon case and that combined with the UV reactive paint I coated the inside with really lit it up.

, 2002-2003 vintage, they were a massive pain and nothing could be hidden but wow did they throw a ton of LED light, but back then RGB LED's weren't as common, just monochrome ones. Lots of reds and greens and later TONS of blue, and the Fun Electroluminescent wires too!

Here is my backup PC ATM, way too much RGB sorry for the glare, 13900K and 3090RTX, Asus Maximus Z790 E Extreme, its about 2 years old but still holds up well.

not my daily driver but good for when my DD is busy

My new AMD Ryzen 7500F budget build that was paid for by the sale of my 12700F Lan-Li Q58 system. So far, I am happy with it since my last AMD rig was an Athlon XP CPU with a VIA chip set.

I had a Sempron 3200+. You had to razor the solder mask on the bridges first and then pencil them.

He's got the flava flav of ram sticks for sure..... I have the ddr4 4000 CL15 4x8 kit in my closet I will probabl keep just because lol, I will get the 6000 CL28 2x24 whenever I upgrade my other system to DDR5 in silver as well. I already have the board but 9000 was so meh I will probably wait a bit longer.
