Switched to hardtubes but I'm a newbie so it's not perfect. Still fine for me for a first hardtube loop and at least way better than my old ugly softtubes :D

I'll be ordering moar stuff next friday. I hate my current pump-res as it takes so much space and makes everything complicated.

That Alphacool Eisstation doesn't look very good based on it's stats. 75L/H and only 1M lift ??
I'm looking at similarly priced Bykski DDC pumps that claim 600L/h and 6M lift

I have a DDC currently but I guess I need to get an Eisstation without a pump and use my current one

Thanks to Machine Learning for a finely fast X58 Xeon X5675. Very decent clocker.

I know it's the same cooler, but it's good for use on a lot of platforms. Kind of like your water loop, this is just easier to swap board to board.

So I made a little gif, you guys that get stoned around here can get mesmerized by all the little bubbles!! Popity pop pop pop. Oh you like pop corn?? No no naughty jungle of love! Mark of the beast! (Stoner movie reference) XD.

Enjoy!

Deepcool AG620, but left with only 1 main fan in center. Highly recommend!!! Competitive to Dark Rock Pro 4 and all you Noctua "premium" sh..t and also "macho" from thermalright, which is so adored in Russia, I don't know, maybe because of name..
Here used for fun sake on 13100F, but will be used with Ryzen 8500G soon when parts arrive. :)

LOL, finally my AM5 system with cheap Gigabyte A620M H and Ryzen 5 8500G. Now I've gone even further and squeezed BeQuiet 140 mm fan into Deepcool AG620, the glass of the Deepcool E-Shield still could be closed lol

I can't get much better of a picture without powering off my computer and disconnecting the power cable for the top mounted 200mm fan, so this is what you get.

View attachment 348493

That's pretty much it, top and rear fans are exhaust and the two you can't see are behind the front panel (see image below) with the 240 AIO radiator mounted to them in a push position.

View attachment 348495

That is all the cooling I have and the setup, in this case, keeps things cooler over any mid or full tower I've used that had more fans. Also, I don't have to worry about GPU sag with this case.
What 200mm fan do you use?

It's a Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm fan. The location of the wholes in the top mesh on the case are not created for most 200mm fans to fit. I didn't know that when I first got the case. I just grabbed a 200mm fan when I was at MicroCenter and after getting home I found that the screw mounting holes on the fan don't line up with the holes on the top mesh.

There may be other 200mm fans out there that fit the top of the case, but I never looked. Once I found the Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm fits I just got a few of them to make sure I have a top fan that mounts without issues on my three XB Evo cases I have.

I'm not sure how easy it is to find these fans anymore outside of on ebay or newegg.

I don't remember, but I think the original 200mm case fan was a ThermalTake. But not sure if I ever replaced it or not.

Had flipped mine over for exhaust with some Intake upgrades.

This is all long gone hardware. Just remnants of cooling mods times gone past.

A drop of dryice, essence of mana, some bubbles and an eye of a newt.

I'm waiting for water temps, add that later maybe.

I'm looking at 8c idle temp right now. It sure does work. Usually, I just freeze 12oz plastic cups with water and slap regular Ice slugs in the res. Had some left over DryIce, thought... why the heck not.

YOU sir have done far more experimenting than any other person I know. I have to thank you today for paving the road for guys like myself enjoying the hobby. So, THANK YOU!

I gotta watch out for condensation here.

I miss those old days of extreme cooling. My favorite setup was a gutted window AC unit put into large cooler with 3 120 radiators and tons of fans. That was used to chill the water line that cooled my TEC setup. Everytime I turned my PC on I swear the lights in our house dimmed... LOL. Good 'ol days!!

Took a minute to recall the name, but I used to always have kneadable eraser on hand to help with condensation. Really handy stuff...

The condensation reminds me, I keep one of those anti-moisture packs near my PC and it's just about time to replace it, every couple of weeks it captures around 100 ml of water from the air.

I haven't done TEC cooling in a few years now. Used it on a lidless 2700X. Used tap to drain water loop to cool the TEC. https://warp9-systems.proboards.com/thread/889/2700x-lid-tec-cooling-experiments

The only way to actually get an overclock done these days is with chilling. There's no OC fun without getting a little crazy with it.

For a moment, I was using an extra radiator inside of my case that the chilled water passed thru. I would use fans to chill the inside of my case and monitor condensation by adjusting fan speeds. That is how I learned that HD's do not like to be run cold... can't recall the temp but was likely below 40F and my HD's would start crapping out. Took me awhile to figure that one out at the time!! That was decades ago and I still use the same radiators from those days, no lie!!

always liked looking at those kind of setups, get ideas and tinker with stuff, but possible issues (condensation etc) dont really make it viable for an everyday normal use pc.
and since i prefer to have a climate controlled place, so temps/humidity arent an issue, and i probably will go back to an external passive rad, so i can get rid of some fans and make it inaudible while gaming, not just on low loads.

That's interesting! We used to put the dying HD into the freezer over night to get the data off them. Kind of the opposite effect I guess. I have some old HDs storing some information, but mostly all solid state stuff. These don't seem to mind the cold at all.
