Testing out some cheaper China products.
TOWILD has had some decent reviews on YT (some from channels that I trust) but amazon reviews are a bit of a mixed bag. 1000lumens max but I only need 200 cycling around london. Returns window is open till 31st Jan next year so Ive got enough time to put it through its paces before deciding to keep it or not.
I'll be testing it against my 2017 or 2018 Moon Vortex Pro as far as lumen count goes... if 200 on the CL1000 doesnt look like 200 on the Vortex Pro, then its going straight home to
mommy Amazon. specs state 200lm should give me 10hrs of riding time and 5.5hrs at 400lm. So battery life should be excellent despite it being winter.
The Balhvit are Lezyne knockoffs for under £10 as opposed to a single Zecto 250+ at £35 which is what I was initially looking at. I love the Zectos but I dont want to pay £35 for
ONE (The front light...) Battery life is awesome on the Zectos' 10-22hrs of flashy for such a small light. I dont think this fake will give me the same hang time but if it lasts close to a month of flashy then i'll still be happy.
CL1000 was £50. Balhvit was £9.68. Initially I was looking at a light that cost £70-90 but the funny thing about those lights is they were £50-60 earlier in the year then the price just spiked on the build up to winter or black friday, and Im not buying for £70-90 when I know I could have had it for £50-60 earlier in the year. I could have had the CL1000 for £40 but i was late to that party. Anyway. I could still be sending the light back so we'll see what happens.
(Supposedly the beam pattern on the CL1000 is pretty good - hence why Im buying it. The beam on my moon is too narrow for my liking)
::EDIT::
Also Just as point of note. The CL1000 was £45. It had a 10% of coupon. I would have touched it at £50 but the 10% bought it closer to its lowest price its been seen at.
