Not had a fps counter running, but it feels smmoth and had no stutter at all. I was expecting to have to lower settings, but no, it runs great.

I had a similar sentiment, but got bored a bit quickly afterwards. Although, I get that a lot with isometric RPGs. I try hard to like them, and I do in a certain way, but overall it seems they can't hold me for long. I might give this one another chance one day.

Isometric RPGs has to be truly incredible if I am to play it for long, the only ones I've actually stuck with are Fallout 2, Planescape Torment and Disco Elysium. I have quite liked the some hours I've had in Rouge Trader, but the combat quickly got pretty boring. And it's too much of it. It's the same with Wasteland 2, I like a lot of it but it's just so much combat.

Indeed. I liked DOS2 a lot, and it's probably the most played game of that type in my backlog, but damn some fights are just exhausting (last well over half an hour).
I'm a bit late into the iso RPG party, I've mostly played 4X - namely Civ II and IV. Spent on those two combined probably way more than a couple of tens of thousands hours... "Just one more turn" disease.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is my favourite of the three survivor trilogy, but it's shame there's no new game plus with that one.

Stalker2 runs fine for me. Plays like lightly modded Stalker, for better or for worse. Story doesn't make any sense so far but I'm not that deep. I'm having fun though, and they pretty much nailed the vibes and atmosphere. I already want a mod that would allow taking the dead bodies and dumping them into fires, that was my favorite thing to do with bandits and other factions I dislike in the original, hahaha. (EDIT: I'm not very smart, turns out you can move bodies around)
Tech-wise nothing impressive, UE5 strikes again. Can't wait for Remedy or id software to push the boundaries one more time, UE5 games all look universally uninspiring, especially considering their demands on hardware.

Ohhhh Planescape: Torment dude. Seriously. The combat is not great (it being an old Infinity Engine RPG) but it's incredible.

This. Rogue Trader could be Epic but the constant combat is insane and they don't make it easy another Game you can add to that is Miasma Chronicles. COH3 is very nice these days.

So it’s not a new version of the orginal? It’s supposed to be a proper follow on to the previous series, or it’s just in that world and bears no relation to them? I’m asking because they never really said what it is, and if it’s got a shyte story then that is just something there is no excuse for. They had all the previous material to study for years.

yeah i started rise yesterday, but then switched to shadow because i wanted better graphics but the thing is i have definitive edition and i have old saves from halfway through which i wanted to continue but same system has changed in this version so i have to start all over again though those saves are from 3-4 years ago so it will be experience the game right from the start.

I've just played the Project Borealis Prologue demo which lasts around five minutes and I wasn't impressed. I realise that it's a tech demo of HL2 Ep 3 (?) in Unreal Engine 5, but it should have been much longer.
Furthermore, the texture design has a cartoonish appearance which HL2 and of course Black Mesa, never had.
This has to be the shortest game demo in existence


By the way, Steam now has its own game recorder if you hit ctrl+f11.

Just got platinum trophy from Resident Evil 3 remake on PS4 (I have 100%'ed it on PC before), damn that last boss is still annoying.

I guess I'll play either FF III 3D remake on PC or FF X-2 on PS2 now.
