EIZO Corporation today unveiled the FlexScan FLT, the world's most power-efficient monitor, embodying EIZO's vision for the future of monitor design, work style, and sustainability. The FLT is a lightweight, 23.8-inch monitor with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution designed for business users.

For more than 30 years, EIZO has led the development of power-efficient, ergonomic, and eco-conscious monitors with its FlexScan series for business enterprise. In 2023, the company accelerated its efforts to achieve carbon neutrality across the entire value chain by 2040, as part of its "Transition to Net Zero" plan, aiming to realize a low-carbon society. The FLT, or "Future-Leading Technology," was designed with this vision in mind. It embodies the philosophies driving FlexScan's evolution and paves the way to a future that EIZO envisions with coming generations of its monitors. Its sustainability-focused approach, robust functionality, and sleek design reflect EIZO's commitment to continuous innovation - not just for today's challenges, but for a brighter tomorrow.

Future-Leading Sustainability
Sustainability leaders in organizations worldwide must make informed decisions when procuring technology that will help them to meet their sustainability goals and for the betterment of society. With a typical power consumption of just 6 watts, the FLT is the world's most power-efficient monitor. It is the first monitor to satisfy the stringent requirements of Class A, the highest rank on the European Energy Label.

Furthermore, EIZO achieved TCO Certified, generation 10 for the FLT concurrently with its publication. The FLT also achieved the highest tier of EPEAT Gold and the EPEAT Climate+ designation, highlighting EIZO's commitment to sustainability.

Designed with environmental care in mind, the FLT's housing is made from 95% recycled plastic, promoting the reduction of plastic waste, conservation of resources, and reuse of materials. The monitor's packaging and cushioning are also made from recycled materials to minimize environmental impact. By reducing the packaging size by approximately 42% compared to a previous 23.8-inch model, loading efficiency is increased by about 1.5 times. This reduction also allows for a decrease in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions during transport by up as much as 42%. Additionally, corporate customers can choose collective packaging, where multiple FLT monitors are packed in a single box to reduce overall waste and significantly streamline unpacking and installation time.

From the procurement and manufacturing to shipping and usage, the GHG emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle of the FLT have been reduced by approximately 32% compared to a previous 23.8-inch monitor.

Future-Leading Work style
As modern work styles diversify, workspaces must evolve to empower individuals to work efficiently, creatively, and comfortably. The FLT features USB Type-C ports for a single-cable connection to a laptop, enabling video display, USB signal transmission, and a maximum of 60 watts of power supply to a connected PC. The FLT is also the first EIZO monitor to support power supply from external devices via USB Type-C, allowing it to operate without the need for an AC adapter.

The FLT's Auto EcoView function automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on ambient lighting changes, while the EcoView Optimizer 2 function fine-tunes brightness and gain according to displayed content. Together, these proprietary technologies enhance viewing comfort and further reduce power consumption. The FLT's new Eco Mode preset automatically activates both functions for easy access.

Users can monitor the power consumption of the FLT and connected devices, including the PC, in real time through the OSD, promoting eco-consciousness. Additionally, they can choose to display this information statically at the edge of the screen for quick, at-a-glance reference.

Future-Leading Design
Design and atmosphere play a vital role in office environments, significantly enhancing employee productivity and creativity while also reflecting the company's values and culture. The FLT embodies EIZO's vision for the next generation of FlexScan monitors. Weighing just 2.4 kg and featuring a sleek bezel thickness of 24.4 mm, the monitor creates a streamlined and unobtrusive office environment. Its distinct 'hollow' bezel design offers a frameless appearance, further elevating its modern, future-inspired aesthetic.

Mounted on a unique arm, the monitor creates a floating effect that allows it to blend in seamlessly in any workspace. The arm provides flexible positioning for the screen and features an integrated clamp for effortless attachment and removal by simply twisting the base.

Availability
The FlexScan FLT will begin shipping in December. The date of availability may vary by country or region. See more details on the product page.

Nice stand, nice connectivity options, if a bit limited due to almost no graphics cards having USB-C ports (zero current ones afaik) and terrible resolution, even for office use these days.
I guess it's fine to hook up to a laptop in a reception, but that's about it.

Shame EIZO isn't what it used to be anymore and also started cutting corners.

A little while i ago i tried the CS2731, which is suppost to be the modern replacement for my CX240. I was shocked by the amount of IPS Glow it had, my current CX240 doesn't have any of that due to the polarizer it uses, yet the CS2731 falls in the exact same price category.

I send it back the same day after using it for not even 15 minutes.

Still looking for an upgrade, but sadly the only way out seems to be OLED, which doubt has the same 12 year lifespan as my CX240 which is still going without issues.

Huh? 1080p on a 24in is a lot of things but not “terrible” it’s more than enough especially for the intended use of this.

6W - that’s pretty efficient I always wondered how you can achieve class A rating now I know.
