Nah, I mean you should be capable of voicing the whole route, street by street, junction by junction, accounting for the time of the day and the day of the week, to the client instead of just following the damn train GPS system. Otherwise, you're just a regular driver.

If I was that good I'd make a decent living. Basically the road infrastructure around central London is a complete mess. Too many roads go to too many different places and google maps and my Garmin often get lost and confused there.

In any case. The new device is for navigating routes downloaded from kamoot. Apparently there are a LOT of good cycling routes in my area and I didnt know of any of them till I joined Kamoot and started searching what local routes that other people were riding. The old 520 only has 49mbs of space which isnt a whole lot. It can fit SOME map sections from openstreetmap and 2-3 routes but most of the space is taken up by the Garmin OS and all the data logs from previous rides - It also cant navigate like the new device. it will do breadcrumb trails but most GPS devices of the same ilk can do that now.

Maps are free on the new device so I dont have to mess with openmaps anymore and I think it has about 16GB storage so I can store a lot more maps and routes and do more exploring. The fact that I can actually use it like googlemaps and navigate to places is more of a bonus.

A bunch o' stuff. MSI X670E WiFi Gaming Plus. I cheaped out on CPU and RAM and got a Ryzen 7600 instead of the 9600x and CL36 instead of CL30. If the 9600x3d actually comes out and is sensible I might get that. USB hub. Corsair RS120 fans. 1TB KC3000. EC360 Gold thermal pads from Coolsierra.com.

And a pretty chunky stagebox, which I'm excited about (Leem 16-LS-100, nothing special but we'll see how it works).

Frankly if you can't tell 120 and 140 FPS apart it's not really an issue.

Great gaming ware either way. Congrats!

The most simple network switch I've found locally. The only problem with it is the damn power supply cable being too short. Can't reach the place where modem/router used to be, and all the LAN cables are there (for the table sockets ports, 4 of them), so ghetto time to make that cable longer for a freaking ~20cm...

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
well... 6th IEMs, CVJ again

a bit of an existential crisis here ... is the name Syyo or Konoka ... well they are referred as CVJ Konoka almost everywhere except on the shells
20241210_151756.jpg20241210_151820.jpg
the cable is so-so, but i can use the cable of the Night Elf instead (or the ND D2 )

tribrid tunable IEMs, 1 DD 1 BA and one ... vibration unit? (well, it's basically a bone conduction driver with some twist) modes are : music (basically DD focus) monitor (DD+BA focus) 3D-movie and eSport (which add the vibration) i tested them with bass heavy EDM and some low throat singing (the HU and Umet Ozcan) and in game... my take : "don't only hear the bass, FEEL the bass!"
more geared toward gaming (they add a surprising depth to explosions and footsteps) than music but with the aforementioned style and artists : damn! it's like bein at a concert standing a bit too close to the woofer
20241210_151839.jpg20241210_151900.jpg received_1029391795164741.jpeg
not a fancy shell, but for 15chf i can't fault them ... plus the vibration add a lot and the BA is a quite good one, well, for gaming these will be my go-to.

since i like the Smartring i bought, i decided to get a charging case (and since that Onegra ring is basically a clone of the Colmi R02 it works perfectly ) and got a Colmi R03 size12 for my father who can't stand to wear a smartwatch :D (bought it from Colmi official store for 15chf ... locally, Galaxus has it too for a mere ... 62.90chf  )both charging cases are 200mAh and add 13 charge to the rigs (the Onegra last 4 days and the R03 last 4 to 5 days ) different app, the R03 app is a bit more complex, but both work good.
20241210_152214.jpg20241210_152059.jpg

and here it is... a RPi 4 case until the NESPi4 case is back in stock, that case is quite impressive, 100% tool-less, only one cons : fan connection not compatible with the Rock 4 C+ fan connector, but it work as it should using the GPIO connector ;)
20241210_151928.jpg20241210_151938.jpg20241210_152007.jpg
now for the OS ... either RecalBox or AndroidTV (tho since it's based on Android 9, i might just install just the plain Android 11 and a bit more interface tweaking )

well, the NDS aggregated library look good, except the uSD card, that one is the fakest fake i ever saw  matter not, it was a bonus, and i intend to use the Kingston Canvas until i get a faster one
the speed rating of the "Extreme Speed" are faketastic ... even slower than the Canvas which is a UHS-1 C10 which make the fake UHS-3 C10 rating more like a bog basic C4 :D
20241210_153336.jpg20241210_153344.jpg20241210_153410.jpg
tho i tested it with it and it works fine (good thing the NDS use the same connector and battery as the GBA SP, no need to order a NDS Lite cable or battery )

Sadly it is too small for my cat to sleep on. Misdesign.

Macro on the cat hair covered cables was a nice touch. I do think you've missed the cat's true interest in this purchase though.

Just wondering, what motivated you to purchase it? I can't really see the point of a mini PC that costs $600 besides the fact that it's incredibly efficient and has a small desk footprint, but I figured you probably have a good reason. Also, the bottom power button and lack of USB-A would drive me nuts.

Glad this is finally on the move. It had an ETA of 3rd of JAN 2025 previously and I needed it here before I could start juggling and shuffling data around on the BX500s.

I only paid $500 on Amazon for Black Friday. It is the fastest machine I have for compiling Lisp code. And it will serve as a media player with 24/7 uptime.

I liked the format of the previous models better. Enough space for the cat and a power button and USB-A ports.

I remember to have seen, that some folks did solve their issue with the power button by a 3D printed part. They did extend the power button to a place off the computer.

I still remember Lisp which i had to program whilst i was studying at the university. Afaik it was at the academic subject of AI. For me it was horrible to count the brackets all the time. This was in the 1980'ies. :)

is that an ant e sports case? these are sold here as well, pretty competitively priced. I currently use one, its cheap but has good features. The metal used is something soft and thin though lol.

is that an ant e sports case? these are sold here as well, pretty competitively priced. I currently use one, its cheap but has good features. The metal used is something soft and thin though lol.
No, it's Golden field's Changan pro, which is not soft. It offers 1xTypeC&2xTypeA just at the bottom of the case, and users can manually switch the front panel(at the right side of the MB) between mesh dotted iron plate and glass.

Yup, as i suspected its from the same factory as ant esports lol this too can be swapped for a mesh.

At that time it was AI. We also coded with Prolog at that subject. But it was a bit aside as i studied the science system related. my diploma thesis was about a new programming language (i had to develop) for the robotics laboratory. Nowadays the so called scientists even don't know how to code in assembler or K&R C.

Honestly both the AI wash and dry work pretty damn good... but they should call it predictive not AI lol.
If it requires the internet, then hell no. I will never be convinced to connect my stand-alone appliances to the internet. Don't care what the claims are, it's not required.

Whatever it takes to diagnose a 10mm socket or Allen key just landed in the glass door dryer before it starts up. If you ask me it was a slippery slope after going to 10 billion rpm with a viewing window at kiddo and doggo height.
