The narrative that Nvidia does not compete because they don't have competition is asinine. They aren't selling the 5070 unexpectedly lower out of the goodness of their hearts for gamers because they believe the common man (lol) should have conceptual (lol) 4090 performance. It was lowered because the 9070 is a formidable opponent and AMD's strategy is to hit the "70 class" GPU segment as hard as they can since they are not offering an "80" class GPU. My theory on that has to do with UDNA possibly coming out quicker than expected. Summer 2026 UDNA is actually very well possible.
