If the problem is in the PSU, you can check it easily.
In the Adrenalin Performance menu, set the Power Limit to -10 or as low as possible, set the maximum frequency to 2200 MHz, and start your games.
If you still have a black screen, just use DDU and install the driver again.

yes he said it was trash.
The OP bought the card for what 300usd, and the answer telling him to buy a "good 1000W" PSU, spend another 300usd, and throw a perfectly good PSU in the trash. If that's the issue the OP should just sell that card and move on.
Am i the only sane person here. :kookoo:
I agreed with your point of trying with a borrowed PSU first. I'm still saying that we don't know enough of OP's entire hardware and software environment, so while I think an inadequate PSU is most likely, we can't rule out other possible causes, in which case I don't advise buying another PSU. Borrowing, yes, buying, no. I also don't advise getting rid of a GPU that may very well be fine (but again, we don't know enough).

i'm saying that in the context of telling the OP to buy a good 1000W psu, that makes no sense, for what i assume was a 2nd hand 6900xt that goes for around 300usd. At that point cutting your loses and selling it's a way smarter choice.

Neither is a smart option, imo. Getting a spare PSU to try is the only smart option I see here.

Try the GPU in another system. But before that try setting the frequency in adrenalin to around 2GHz, as someone already suggested.

I'm using mine at 2300MHz limit, and my power consumption stays below 200W mark in the majority of the games I play. The performance uplift going over 2500MHz is negligible, not worth the noise and power draw.

Radeon 6000 and Nvidia 3000 had a problem with high power spikes and some power supplies couldn't handle them.

And RDNA2 has the simplicity of a voltage being tied to the frequency. So at effective ~2200MHz with 6900xt you're looking at ~0.8V, compared to a factory value of 1.2V.

5700xt had the same 1.2V set at stock, way too high imo. Newer archs are just pushed to the limits, throwing efficency out of the window just for the sake of a few extra frames (in review charts).

I ended up getting a 1000w. did not matter if the card was heavly underclocked it would just reboot\blackscreen.
Probably the current draw suddenly, or ocp/ovp was sensitive

Yup, another thing that can do it is the curve optimizer being to aggressive when trying to get the voltage lower.

Let's be honest here. The original CX line WAS TRASH. 30C rated, and the most RMA'd PSU line there ever was in history. Suitable for office email PC, but turns into a bomb once you put a midrange or higher graphics card in there.

The rule of thumb: would you power your own RX 6900XT with this thing? No? Then stop defending it.

Now the question is whether this is the post-2015 version of the CX, which is much better, but still mediocre. And 750W of mediocre is not enough for a card that can draw over 600W spikes. Totally inadequate. Why would someone buy a high end card and pair it with that?

When benching 6900XT I had to move up from 850W LEADEX to 1000W LEADEX once I started with testing with MPT.

Now for a temporary fix. Go into device manager. Disable the GPU, then re-enable it. Restart your PC Reinstall your driver. Restart your PC. Go into the driver tuning section. Set GPU clock slider to about 80%. That should keep it around 130W but still run fairly well around 2GHz.

The truth is that I was about to buy a Vetroo 1000W Black ATX 3.0 80 Plus Gold Modular CP-PSU-VT-GV1000 or also a DeepCool PX1000P as an alternative. Do you recommend that I buy it or not?

Do your research, look at who the oems are for the units you are looking at. Never heard of Vetroo, DeepCool is known for heatsinks. Look at max current capability on the 12V line(s)

Iirc, deepcool uses Channelwell. Px is Platinum rated. So Platinum CWT

Though the original CX400 was made by Seasonic and was practically the same as Antec Earthwatts. Yes, it used Taiwanese caps, but it was way better than other cheap units during that time.

I can never reach the maximum mhz only 1500 1200 850 mhz only with furmark I can reach it I did undevolt to see and I managed to last a few more minutes now I will try leaving 1270 mhz to see what happens

edit: it could last a few more minutes with unlocked fps but if I lock them it might last a long time

Las pantallas negras no son causadas por problemas de suministro de energía.

Black screens are not caused by power supply issues.

Maximum consumption of 50w, black screen has not appeared again

Ah yes the good old days when ships were made of wood, men were made of steel, and it didn't matter if your PSU was shit because the 8800 GTX was only 155W.

Well either your card or your PSU is dying. Usually the graphic card problems are first sign of PSU so I'd move in that direction first since it is known to be not up to the task as a CX 750W trying to run an RX 6900XT.

Furmark is a consistent high load. Your problem seems to be with short power spikes which are much more apparent in low load scenarios.

Agreed. Furmark is rather obsolete for testing cards. I run folding@home now to really torture since the power fluctuates.
