Lian Li has prepared something special which might interest all Xbox 360 owners. This is a pre-production sample of a brand-new custom Lian Li Xbox 360 chassis. Made from aluminium, the enclosure features enough space for all the internal components of the console along with pre-prepared water-cooling holes in the rear. In addition, the chassis has all the necessary outputs like HDMI ready to be connected at the back of the case. There you'll also find a single low-speed 120mm exhaust fan. Release date for this case is still unknown, but expect price around $80 USD when it hits the shelves.

Water Cooling?? Why I ask you? Is the hole point of a console not to move away from the worries of modding and upgrades?

If theirs no possible way to overclock a console system, then I just have to ask, why have watercooling for it? Waste of money IMO.

A.) So the damn console doesn't burn itself up. and, B.)you can make it much more silent.

I am not mocking the 360 dude, I have one. Just the idea of a person modding his console (any coonsole). And showing it to his buddy's online.

I know what you mean, but as long as there are things to mod (cars, computers, bikes, etc...) they will always be modders. Its always interesting to me to see how they did it, but i also would never do it myself just to show my buddy.

The loudest part is the f-ing optical drive, it never spins down during a game, tho it looks like lian li took the time to put in some dampening material around the drive but when I get this case (AND I WILL SO HELP ME!) I'm quadrupling the dampening material around it.

I like the case, the stock 360 looks awful and sounds even worse (imo). At least this way Lian-Li are offering something that can sit underneath your (HD)TV without sounding like a hair-dryer constantly on.

Actually, not strictly true, i have opened up my cases before and returned them if they went wrong. Didnt see anywhere for the hdd though. As long as there is somewhere for it internally. I would get this. My 360 is a bit too loud and i dont like the case and it gets too hot. How much would it cost to actually get water cooling though?

I can see Microsoft not having a problem with a user just opening a case.
But will they have a problem with you taking out the parts and putting it in another case.
I think they may and no more RMAing.
But I must say a good concept overall.

Hmm, they weren't able to integrate that damn power brick inside. I remember when Xbox-scene posted this a month or two ago, I believe they were considering it. Without that integrated, I wouldn't buy this case for $80 (even if I had a 360 - well, maybe $60 shipped :) ).
