    TPU's Nostalgic Hardware Club

Just make sure you get faster RDRAM than 800-45ns. You will need 800-40ns to run a 532FSB (133MHz) CPU. I found that out the hard way. lol I've decided to stick with my Abit AI7 & IC7-g board to play with s478 CPUs. Much more fun to play with rather than dealing with intel-made motherboards.

I got mine around 2010-12 out of a trash bin at work. It had a P4 2.0GHz, intel mobo & 1GB of RDRAM. I still have that system, ran some benchmarks on it last year. https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/tpus-nostalgic-hardware-club.108251/page-756#post-5325135

I have an Antec similar to that model, but it is beige & 25 years old. It has 4 80mm case fans instead of 120mm fans. My Haswell i5, RX 480 8GB system is installed in it, which I use for photo editing.

To be honest, it has been so long that I don't remember, but I thought it was only the 2GB versions with dual BIOS & reference cooler.

    Post your cooling.

Until you change it again. :) It does look nice with the air cooler.

There were some HD 6950 that could unlock additional shaders and could run at HD 6970 clocks. They were 2GB VRAM, Dual BIOS, with reference coolers IIRC. I'm guess you have one of those MaexxDesign.

To distill or not distill what say ye?

I use tap water and Swftech HydrX (ethylene glycol) in my loops, probably about a 10:1 ratio. The water in my area is very soft so I've never been worried about tap water mineral fallout from high conductivity. You can't get HydrX anymore, so I'll probably switch to automotive antifreeze once...

Yup, but he's not showing up on member searches. :( @67Elco WTF, well, there he is... lol

There's a member (or was a member) who's done several hard copper water loops. His builds always looks really nice.

We use to call the really cheap filters 'bird catchers' back when I was changing them in office buildings by the 100s.

So they make new mixing faucets that fit the traditional two faucet spacing. US companies (Home Depot - Lowes) would make sure nothing like that existed so you would be forced to buy a faucet and a sink. lol Those exploding Tea Cakes sound tasty.

The washing machine wasn't the reason for two taps, just a use for the two taps. The reason for the two taps was water pressure differential. Homes (and apartments) were fed with city water pressure, which supplied cold water taps and filled a holding tank. The water in that tank was heated...

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-42948046 I have seen separate faucets similar to these, but with threaded ends so you could attach hot & cold hoses for portable washing machines. There was also a portable dishwasher that you only connected the hot.

    [US] Microcenter GPU Stock status

I've been happy with it so far. I mostly play MSFS2020 and I've seen a nice uplift from the 6800XT.
