HP Series 7 Pro Monitor 738pu Brings 24:10 Aspect Ratio and Thunderbolt 4

This is 21:9, even the HP spec sheet states that clearly. Just like every other 38" (37.5") 3840x1600 monitor on the market, e.g. LG & Alienware. Nothing unusual here.

TerraMaster Unveils Its Highest-Performing 2-Bay NAS F2-424, Powered by Intel's Latest Quad-Core Processor

I don't get it. The F2-424 launched in December 2023 and was widely reviewed in January. Is this a zombie press release that got stuck in someone's outbox?

AMD "Strix Point" Mobile Processor Confirmed 12-core/24-thread, But Misses Out on PCIe Gen 5

Since the 12C SKU uses the same FP8 package as the single-CCD 7040/8040 series, the chart implies that there will be a 12C CCD using presumably 1-2 Zen5 plus 10-11 Zen5c

MAINGEAR Launches ZERO Series Gaming PCs with Hidden Motherboard Cables

This case would be 100% more interesting if they would lose the big "MAINGEAR" logo on the glass.

Cooler Master Launches the Mighty X 2000W and 2800W Power Supplies

The max wattage supported by a NA 15A socket is 1800w under ideal conditions, but nominally ~1600w. And since PSUs are specced for their delivery wattage, not their input wattage, the actual max is around 1500w for 80+ Titanium. Unless you want to go plug your PC into the socket for your...

Gigabyte Shows its PSU Lineup at CES 2024

Micro USB and no 12V-6x6/12VHPWR connectors, what year is this?

Synology Shows Off New Personal Cloud and Surveillance Products at CES 2024

None of these products are newly announced. The DS1823xs+ and DS423+ launched way back in March 2023, while the DS224+ hit in August. The wired cameras announced in June. The closest thing here to a new product is the CC400W wireless camera from November. And this isn't the usual regurgitation...

VESA Updates Adaptive-Sync Display Standard with New Dual-Mode Support

VESA enables false advertising with this new "Dual Mode" logo. Now you have to read the monitor specs fine print carefully, because if a manufacturer advertises a 4K monitor and mentions it supports "240 Hz" they mean at 1080p. This is a disaster because it muddies the water and devalues...

LG Unveils Latest OLED evo TVs with 144 Hz Refresh Rate

They have "Game Optimizer to let gamers easily switch between display presets designed for different gaming genres" but they don't mention if they've finally supported PC power management. 144Hz is nice but I wouldn't upgrade my C1 42" unless they've added power management since that's the one...

Samsung Expands Odyssey Gaming Monitor Lineup With New OLED Models at CES 2024

How the heck can they advertise 4K240 without DP 2.1? Is that achievable with both 4:2:0 and DSC? Or are they advertising the new dual-mode where it's only 240 at 1080p?

    Crucial T700 Pro 4 TB

The MSI Spatium M570 Pro Frozr has a 4 TB variant. You personally tested the 2 TB version on December 19th. The 4 TB variant was noted both in your review and in the press release that TPU published on the same day.

MSI Reveals Revolutionary SPATIUM M570 PRO FROZR PCIe 5.0 SSD and Expands Lineup with SPATIUM M482

They're burying the lede here, this is only the second 4TB capacity PCIe 5.0 SSD on the market.

    ASUS Announces All-New Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405)

It's odd and suspicious that, while the press release specs say LPDDR5x-7467, the Asus main web site, Asus online store, and Best Buy specs just say "LPDDR5x". We know there is a shortage of LPDDR5x-7467 leading to a bit of a bait and switch controversy with some Meteor Lake launch laptops...

    Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5-6000 64 GB CL30

$295-$310 for this kit ($4.60/GB) makes zero sense when you can get the Corsair Vengeance 96GB DDR5-6000 CL30 kit for $365 ($3.80/GB) The 96GB isn't EXPO but 50% more RAM at the same primary timings trumps the minor timing advantages of EXPO.
