One painful situation I had was happened with my Socket-A I bought at the end era of the socket.
At first, I want to use it for 5 years (2004-2009) but Vista come, DDR2 come. When I look for upgrade, this happen.
- I've only AGP, all good performance AGP GPUs are priced premium.
- I've only DDR...
Resizable BAR is a must but this function on Intel GPUs is work on both AMD and Intel. Nice!
A380 looks under perform for it price. But it can be changed after a while.
So, X670/E has
1 more M.2 2>3,
2 more SATA 4>6,
double up all kind of USB ports in part of Chipset,
Chipset requires more TDP 7>14watts compare to B650
X670E has requirement to support PCI-Express version 5 on both PCIE #1 and NVME #1. But X670 might not?
I heard from some YouTube channel that Zen4C is Zen4 increased to 16cores per chiplet, has lower L3 cache per core, full ISA, this comparable to E-cores of Intel.
Bergamo server might use 8xchiplet of this instead of 12. (For this, this is just my guest, no source)
HX models will cut the graphic down to 1/3 and increase CPU core count up to 8 P-cores compare to H models.
AMD mobile will completely lose in multi threaded. But very high power draw will be big drawback to Intel.
RX 6400 spec table in the first page is wrong. Cores number must be 768. (3/4 of RX 6500XT)
PS. This GPU recall my memory of the graphic in name only but not suit to play most game => "Radeon HD 2400XT".
I'm sticking with my aged RX470 for 1080p/med for another year.
Next upgrade may be in 2023 which I hope I can find RX6800 level at 300$ price points.
And then I will also buy 1440p monitor altogether.
