    Skylake or wait?

CPU won't be a big upgrade in regards to performance, it'll mostly be for the features like other people said (USB 3.0/3.1, M.2 capable MBs, etc..). Changing to a new platform is always an expensive endeavor, so I'd suggest the biggest upgrade to keep longevity at the maximum would be a fast...

    Current Sales, Bundles, Giveaways

For those who liked or always wanted to buy Dying Light. Another reason to get it here... The only bad thing is that you can only play multiplayer with other GOG Galaxy users, which sucks. https://www.gog.com/game/dying_light_the_following_enhanced_edition

MSI Launches New GeForce GTX 950 Graphics Cards with 75W Board Power

Cool beans. We honestly need more cards that operate on just PCIe power. Hopefully with the die shrink coming soon, it'll become even more common on the lower end cards, possibly a low-mid range who knows? How many watts do fans usually need to operate on a GPU?

Look Ma, no PCI-e power connector required GTX 950

So wait, what's the difference between the two? 950 is better performing and requires no PCI-e power? I can't find a benchmark comparing them against each other.

Acer Unveils the Predator XB321HK 32-inch Gaming Monitor

Unless you need a monitor, I'd think it's smarter to wait for DP 1.3 products to hit the market with force. It would be a pity to waste money on something such as this when the new cards are also just around the corner.

    VESA Publishes DisplayPort 1.4 Standard

We probably won't see market availability of monitors that utilize DP 1.4 until at least 2018. But with DP 1.3, is it possible to do 4K at 120hz?

AMD and Associated Press Collaborate to Enable Next-Generation VR Journalism

Umm, no. The more information the consumer has, the more control he/she has over their purchasing power. I'd hate for AMD to die off and then let Nvidia price their products however they see fit, it would suck bigtime for everyone. But that isn't to say that Nvidia isn't doing a good job at the...

    R9 Nano vs GTX 980

If you were thinking about the 980 vs Nano debate, it's already been said that the Nano is slightly faster with benchmarks to prove it. Now if you're thinking of a 970, the R9 390 is faster plus has the extra RAM to help keep it a little more futureproof longer than the 970 in the foreseeable...

EIZO Introduces Next Generation of 24.1-inch Graphics Monitors

Looks weird, but I'm thinking that these things were made for professionals? That hooded overhead looks like it protects them from the direct light distorting the on-screen colors. You're right, next generation? I was actually thinking DP 1.3 or HDMI 2.0a or something. Might still be possible...

AMD "Zen" Processors to Feature SMT, Support up to 8 DDR4 Memory Channels

No need to clash fists here, we can all keep it civil can't we? The fact of the matter is that the companies AMD competes with have a bigger budget and more resources at their disposal. This means that most of the time they will have the upper hand in price, performance, marketing, business...

AMD "Zen" Processors to Feature SMT, Support up to 8 DDR4 Memory Channels

It's not just AMD that needs a win this coming next generation, we ALL need it too. If they fail to meet our expectations, I'm afraid that prices will never go down on Intel & Nvidia products for the life of their products, only replaced.

ASUS GeForce GTX 980 Ti Matrix 6 GB

It seems that cards such as these always have a way of popping up towards the end of their generation. It's so easy to wait out just a few more months until the next best thing if there's nothing wrong with a person's current GPU. But man o man, that is just one sick performance jump from a...

    Gpu upgrade advice

You need a new GPU now since your other one died. Simple, just get the 390. I'd get it over a 970 anyday. It's a no-brainer.

    Samsung Readies 144 Hz 3440 x 1440 Ultra-wide Monitors

The fact that AA doesn't help much at 4K is not what I am arguing against. What you "need" is irrelevant when it comes to benching a game at maxed settings to see how high your FPS can possibly be. I understand your point of view though, however what I'm saying is that based on TPU's review...
