I would not call this "stupidly long" it is the same length plus a little x2 slot which is already space you cant use on the motherboard...

How about all GPU's just receive power the way they do on BTF motherboards and eliminate the cable all together?

My favorite (/s) is the BF lobbies in BF4 that didnt allow you to curse in the server via chat but the voice acting of the characters...
