Microsoft Closer to Removing Local Accounts from Windows 11, Removes Help Page on How to Switch to One

Couple of months ago (January I think) I've tried multiple distros and drivers for gaming on desktop. HDR for games in linux is STILL non-existent in 2024, it was a major letdown for me. In games I play/tried I got much lower FPS. ~200FPS in Windows; same settings in Linux I got ~120 with...

AMD is Changing the Naming of the Strix Point APUs Series Again

"Ryzen AI 9 HX 370" - Well damn, it's ridiculous. I feel something is STILL missing. How about: "Ryzen AI 9 HX 370X3D"? :D All this AI and marketing still cannot come up with something... copy Intel. Here is something "original": ®AI-Zen5™ 77U AMD Ryzen™ 7 8840U would be: ®AI-Zen4™ 38U The...

X-Silicon Startup Wants to Combine RISC-V CPU, GPU, and NPU in a Single Processor

Intel Xeon "Granite Rapids" Wafer Pictured—First Silicon Built on Intel 3

Those are HUGE chips/tiles! They need 2 of those for top-end Xeon, right? I presume these are quite expensive wafers. Even if all chips have 0 defects (impossible) you can make around 30-40 top-end CPUs from one wafer?

Those where the times... :) 20 years ago, following your guide I've moded my Radeon 9800SE (4 pipelines) to Radeon 9800Pro (8 pipelines). It was 128 bit card though... still made a huge difference. So thanks for bringing back these memories! :D

"It's Not a Bug, It's a Feature." In case of AI uprising, all machines based on EPIC would automatically go to sleep after 34 months of uptime. Humanity saved thanks to this "feature"! :D
