Subsystem Id of my Asus Strix RTX 4090 OC / Random GPU detection problem

You have a PCIe slot at the very bottom of the motherboard. Doesn’t look like you’d have room, you’d have to use a riser. Do you have a different video card to test?? What has ASUS support said about the issue?? As far as the memory training, have you enabled Memory Context Restore?

Subsystem Id of my Asus Strix RTX 4090 OC / Random GPU detection problem

If the card worked in the other system, I wouldn’t mess with the card just yet. Ensure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard. Have you tried a different PCIe slot? Also, I would set your motherboard to factory defaults. You could have a different revision of the card. Sometimes...

Multiple major problems that i can't explain

You have to keep it simple. Before doing anything, when you power on the system and get into the BIOS, what does the date and time say? I would highly recommend running Memtest on your RAM. Get a Post-it note or something and label the DIMMs. Use something like below to keep track of the...

EVGA 3070ti hotspot is too high 107.7°

Something still isn’t making good contact. As I noted above, get a picture of the heatsink and the card after removing the heatsink from the GPU. Unless I am missing something, I don’t see a picture of this.

Request for BIOS file of nVidia GeForce RTX A5000 from ThinkPad P15 Gen 2

Have you already purchased the MXM Module? What is the current GPU in the system? What is the machine code/serial number for the laptop you have?

PLEASE HELP, TUF Laptop keeps "thermal hibernating" but isn't overheating.

All good, no worries. Just makes it easier to help when it stays in one place lol.

PLEASE HELP, TUF Laptop keeps "thermal hibernating" but isn't overheating.

Taken from Reddit. Start with disabling hibernate. Report this to Asus. This sounds like an actual ACPI table bug relating to ACPI-based thermistor reporting, which can only be fixed with a BIOS update. Again: please report this to Asus! Do not read the _HOT value as a literal value. To...

Can I remove this laptop's battery? Does it require it for the CMOS?

Yes the laptop will have a separate CMOS battery. You will have to remove the battery and see it will operate without. Varying from model to model, some laptops require the battery to be there whether it is pulled in or not. Also, I would look in the BIOS for a battery or power menu. If...

Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H is overheating

Looking over what you have done a second time, the 215A limit is what I would keep it at. If it isn’t throttling at that point and you are able to do what you need to do with it, leave it alone. That CPU is quite power hungry and as noted, that heatsink and cooling system aren’t going to...

Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H is overheating

I just watched a teardown of your laptop. That vented bottom panel with a proper seal on that cooler should definitely be helping. What do you have the laptop fans at when the pad is in use?? You are using the Lenovo software I would imagine?

Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H is overheating

I’d be curious to see how their air flow is different. Most laptops pull in from the bottom and sides, exhausting out of the back and top of the chassis. Based on the pictures it appears to be pretty conventional.

Legion Pro 7 16IRX9H is overheating

Along with what Freedom recommended. That cooling pad should have helped quite a bit, I have a similar one for my Alienware and it works wonderfully. Especially when you get the foam seal right.

MSI 4090 Pump Out Is Real

So while yes, the card needs to be repasted, it appears that those crazy temps were due to Fan Control not running at startup like it typically does. The pump was running but not all of the fans. I have noticed on occasion that the software gets stuck in a manner and no longer controls the...

    Razer vBIOS gone wrong

vBIOS Mod Killed a $3,000 Razer Laptop – Avoid Gaming Laptops! This channel has some gems on it, and I am finding it quite relaxing to watch him repair equipment. Similar to the liquid metal video I linked.... refer to this when you are wanting to flash your vBIOS, desktop or laptop. Just...
