I do have one of these in the cupboard already, running in RAID. Though yes maybe make a second one, thank you
I have made a Recovery disk and tried it out, where it takes you into a GUI environment.
One thing I left out from original post was consideration of imaging versus cloning, when...
Of note I followed the link you gave earlier https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/macrium_reflect_free_edition.html
Which version are you using then
Which option here?
Should it be ISO file then put that to USB disk?
(not sure I want to amend the boot menu for this?)
Also
1. Rapid delta worth it? I am not sure I follow it's comments. It says only copy the differences.
One drive is full one is empty, that's the difference!? What else is...
Have recently invested in some new SSDs. In effect I am trying to consolidate and with aim to be Solid state only
That said I may if only for a time, keep at least one HDD in play(TBD)
My setup is as follows
C: SSD 2TB - Windows, high profile games, some packages and testing/programming...
After some more tedious testing, it seems this is the cause
I thought I had disabled it prior (and likely I did - though probably enabled it again in haste or by accident )
The videos are OK, rather the 3d application/games is what loses out
I suppose it could go both ways though when watching say a 4k Movie and trying to game, the video might be choppy.
For GPU my path forward is likely waiting for 4070 to permeate through the market for half a year or so then...
I see what you mean now
For comparison then here is the multi for 2600k
Howdy
I am still working through some troubles/difficulties with system freezing following the build
However have done a fair amount of various games/3D applications and the answer is yes a lot, yes some, none at all...
I like this idea and I did consider it, however the internal GPU may not be able to load some games/3D programs? making it unable to recreate the scenario.
Something I'll have look into again
Thanks
One thing I didn't mention in my post (although I cannot modify /edit any posts now today....) is that I BIOS flashed successfully to their 1.21 which
was created to address the SoC voltage issue on AMD motherboards
1. Update AGESA ComboAM5 1.0.0.6.
2. Improve memory compatibility.
3...
Hear you on that, I did exactly that - got installed to a reasonable 'baseline'
I haven't restored to that date though - will mention in original post
Should I make a restore point now, will windows allow me to go back then forward again ?
I have another PSU however it's older
I am also...
Aye, I have
Updated post above to include this now
And it may not be the browser, just seems that whenever this happens it is open versus when it's not open I cannot recall this happening
Though still going to try again this weekend for another long stint of several hours with no browsers open
It is definitely more on the lower cycle/idle side
Keep in mind I am not black screening, it's freezing yet all visuals are still on screen
I am mindful about the GPU however it was the same one I had in previous build where this behavior did not exist.
I'll take your point about the hard...
After some great advisement by fellow members, I have recently platform JUMPED (ok that might be extreme) from Sandybridge to AM5
And while it's pretty much been good overall, I am stumped about system crashing that is occurring
I might have to update this post as I go as I will invariably...
