    I'm not aware of that.

    SLI with different cards

For installing the 388.71 driver, you need to exactly follow post #2938 (start below the video) This also means finding the actual driver location, editing install.cmd (if your Windows version is greater than 7) and running install.cmd in safe mode.

    SLI with different cards

They should, yes. You can test whether the BSOD occurs also with only one of the cards installed. If there's no BSOD, then it's probably incompatible cards. If there's a BSOD too, then there's something wrong with the way DifferentSLIAuto has been patched/installed. I can't help you with the...

    SLI with different cards

Usually, a BSOD in conjunction with DifferentSLIauto points to GPUs incompatible for SLIing. Strange that the error you got occurs within the driver of Virtual Box.

    SLI with different cards

Can't help you regarding your quite specific problem; I only know so much that even a patched 4xx driver will not SLI different cards, not even those from the same microarchitecture. They need to be absolutely identical (as per nVidia's SLI specs). Also IDK whether FreeSLI still works with more...

    SLI with different cards

These instructions you were using from Lord_Hades are for a very old install (DifferentSLIauto 1.4 which is a match only for a very old nVidia driver). Go back one page in this forum and you'll find a summary I wrote about the current options regarding DifferentSLIauto.

    SLI with different cards

Sorry, I won't do that. Depending on the hardware setup, using this patch has a significant chance of not working successfully and in that case all you can do is trying to repeat the installation using different drivers until you run out of ideas. That is very time consuming and in the end you...

    SLI with different cards

It means that as soon as you have the "Maximize 3D performance" button, the driver allows the use of SLI. If the driver crashes after activating it, there must be some incompatibility in the hardware, which cannot be resolved in the software.

    SLI with different cards

This usually indicates that the hardware setup (GPUs & MoBo) isn't capable of running SLI (for various reasons, hard to pinpoint). All that DifferentSLIauto does is enabling that button for you. Whatever happens after you select it, is at the mercy of the driver itself, so there are simply...

    SLI with different cards

You could only find out by trying, but I'd say it's rather unlikely.

    SLI with different cards

Read my first post on this page further above. I think the difference between the cards (different memory and shader count) makes it unlikely for newer drivers to work in SLI and you'd have to resort to the 'old' method using driver 388.71, as described in my post above.

    SLI with different cards

I haven't been using SLI myself for some time now (or DifferentSLIauto for that matter) and thus haven't been following closely what's happened in this thread. To everybody asking about installing DifferentSLIauto on their system, the procedure to follow is this one...

    SLI with different cards

Generally it's possible on Crossfire mobos, but even then, not every install turns out to be successful, for a variety of reasons. Also in order to use the latest 4xx drivers, you need Windows 10. On Windows 7, you're stuck with the legacy patch (1.7.1 together with nVidia driver 388.71 ) In...
