Discord screensharing contributing to PC freeze/crash

Well I did a test this morning since downgrading my video card driver. Just one Discord call with screenshare and it worked out OK. I will update once I have done more testing to see if the issue is actually resolved. I did have Edge open this morning but I don't always. My monitors are Dell...

Discord screensharing contributing to PC freeze/crash

Yes, the screen backlit still. Sometimes blank screen, sometimes gray. I will try this! AMD drivers grr. OK, I am going to try something different... I went to the "Pro" drivers latest version from 22Q4. I'll update in a few days if it makes a difference.

Discord screensharing contributing to PC freeze/crash

I didn't see anything power related in the memory menu in the UEFI BIOS. Maybe worth noting I did recently update the BIOS to the latest version from the Asus website as the one one I was running before was quite old. It made no difference. I just changed my power plan from Balanced to...

Discord screensharing contributing to PC freeze/crash

I am having an intermittent lockup on my PC that requires me to do a hard reboot. It has been an intermittent problem for a while, and since I started having the problem I've done many hardware and software changes. Initial configuration when I started having the problem was Win11 on a 1TB...

Cities: Skylines II will not be well optimised at launch.

I haven't built any huge cities as I lost my save files when I reinstalled Windows (had them set to local, not Steam Cloud, whoops) but on my system (i5-11600K, 64GB DDR4-3600, Radeon RX 6950 XT 16GB, 4K 60Hz monitors) it's definitely GPU bound.

Is WD Purple good as storage drive?

From my understanding, purple is similar to Red with firmware optimization for writing multiple streams of data at once continuously. It would be fine for desktop storage usage, but I'd only do that if it was significantly cheaper than a Red or desktop drive.

Cities: Skylines II will not be well optimised at launch.

I see your point, but at the end the games needs to be what they marketed it as, and it needs to run smoothly, especially on mid-range or high-end PCs and it can't even do that.

Cooler Master Sneaker X Bounce PC Revealed

That has got to be the ugliest, most useless thing I've seen all year. Although it's just beginning, we'll see what other awful things come out!

Cities: Skylines II will not be well optimised at launch.

Good luck. I was so excited about this game but despite the updates it still performs poorly on my system. It's a stuttery mess.

Microsoft Edge lost all my passwords after logging in to computer on domain controller

So it sounds like I'm screwed and logging into the domain controlled computer wiped all my passwords with no warning.

Microsoft Edge lost all my passwords after logging in to computer on domain controller

The new year really isn't going well. First my car's window broke and now Microsoft Edge lost all my saved passwords. All my bookmarks are still there but all my saved passwords disappeared. I use the sync feature across Edge on my desktop, laptop, and iPhone. All those devices show none of the...

Intel Arc A750 Limited Edition 8 GB Graphics Card Discounted to $199

See that's what's tough about it. The RX 6600 makes so much more sense to buy. BUT the Intel card does have some benefits depending on your usage. And far more interesting to play with lol.

ZALMAN Intros ZM-K610 65% Wireless Keyboard with Hot-swappable Key Switches

From the title I was trying to figure out how a keyboard could be “65% wireless” lol

Full Screen Video Problems in Edge

If I watch YouTube or Plex in Edge it has occasional skips or stutters. If I do it in Firefox it works fine. Latest updates to everything including AMD Radeon driver 22.12.2. I'm running an i5-11600K, RX7900XT, and Dell 4K60 monitor. Full specs in profile. Any suggestions appreciated, this is...
