PlayStation 5 Pro up to 24% Cheaper than PlayStation 3 at its Launch

I bought an OG PS3 60GB specifically to be a Blu Ray drive, with gaming and Seti as secondary uses. It was the best Blu Ray movie machine available for the $ at the time. These prices aren't that bad when you compare them to a barebones mini PC that can take a gaming GPU. The Asus extreme NUC...

MSI Unveils the World's First ATX 3.1 Ready Motherboards, Based on AMD's X870/X870E Chipset

"Battery pack for your motherboard" isn't a very good analogy. More like bigger fuel rails and injectors from the PSU (fuel pump). LEDs and fans don't use a lot of power. I don't mind USB-C PD connectors needing some extra juice, though.

Sony Expected to Announce PlayStation 5 Pro Later Today

Looks like some games are getting major updates to take advantage of the upgraded GPU. I wish Sony would release the GT series for PC. GT7 is the only game I want that would justify the PS5 Pro to me. That's a hard sell.

Apple Debuts the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max - Now with a Camera Button

I'm going for the 16 Pro from my 13 Pro. Been wanting the 5x optical camera but didn't want the huge Pro Max chassis.

    TPU's Nostalgic Hardware Club

Look what I found in my father's old work rig. I thought he had a 550, but a 450 is still nice to see. Maxed out Asus P5A with 768MB of memory.

Corsair Launches New RS MAX Series Fans

And then we have the folks like me still picking cases than can accommodate thick rads with push/pull fan setups. :)

Corsair Launches New RS MAX Series Fans

30mm is nice and an improvement over 25mm, but let's go big and back to 38mm thick fans. Maybe even 50mm!

    Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO

Looks like Thermalright has another winner here, trading blows with AIOs for a great price. I like the subtle LED effects on these fans, too. This heatsink doesn't come with them, but I appreciate how the fans on my Ultra 120 EX Rev4 are dual ball bearings. That heatsink installs as easy as a...

NVIDIA Points Intel Raptor Lake CPU Users to Get Help from Intel Amid System Instability Issues

Certainly not the first time. See Pentium 4 XEs for example.

NVIDIA Points Intel Raptor Lake CPU Users to Get Help from Intel Amid System Instability Issues

Well, the BIOS changes didn't do anything. Running less power with MCE disabled but no change in stability. I started to investigate with the basics on the hardware side and found that the PCIE riser wasn't seated fully. Doh.... Now it's 100% stable, but getting some artifacting on some game...

NVIDIA Points Intel Raptor Lake CPU Users to Get Help from Intel Amid System Instability Issues

I'm definitely going to flash to the newest BIOS this evening and check the CPU power settings. My errors are black screen crashes necessitating a hard reboot.

Yeah that needs updating. It's currently a Asus Z790 Hero, 13900KS and 3080Ti.

NVIDIA Points Intel Raptor Lake CPU Users to Get Help from Intel Amid System Instability Issues

I wonder if this is the cause of my issues lately (13900KS / 3080Ti). I did a BIOS update a couple months ago, and haven't been able to run any games since. Some crash right when 3D is activated, others completely at random, but never more than 5 minutes from 3D load start. Wiping the OS hasn't...

Thanks. I have seen that post, but I'm hoping to do something a little less....overkill.
