yes of course. but from what it looks right now this is more a bug than a feature. as always ati is in denial when asked about it.

once all the software coders go away and develop for nvidia only and people complain about the lack of software will they be happy?

They supposebly recoded the dll and so now the overclocking software utilities don't know how to talk to the drivers. This will probably end up being fixed on the OC Utilty side of things by the coders. STILL SUCKS THOUGH and of course it is still an epic fail .

I guess I must be one of the lucky ones who's never had any issues with Crossfire. Just installed 8.11 yesterday and all is still peachy-keen in imperial world, here.

I'm not too concerned about any Overdrive features, as I've set my GPU speeds in BIOS . . . so, :p

I have 2 HD 4870s in CrossfireX, no problems here either, installed fine and are more stable than 8.10 for me. With the 8.10 drivers my games would crash into a sound loop and reboot the computer, doesn't happen anymore.

Vista x64 on an X38 chipset.

I used install manager to uninstall all, then deleted the ATI folders in the root of "C:" and in "username\AppData\Local" and "username\AppData\Roaming", rebooted and installed 8.11, worked flawlessly.

Yeah except for overclocking.. I am going to flash my card this is dumb. I flashed my 1900xtx and it is still going. I sold it to my friend.

I flashed the BIOS and that didn't work either. I used the rbe off this site so.. At first I just dumped the BIOS file from gpu-z then I opened it with rbe and adjusted the clocks for high mode under the clock settings tab and I saved it and flashed it and when I got back into windows the driver kept trying to under clock the card and it kept wanting to clock back up.. I then tried flashing using and upping the ccc overdrive values option in rbe then flashed and the driver wants to just put it at 750 / 900..... I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them as well unless I need to do a clean sweep of the driver remains then dot he reinstall for the driver to work right with the flash maybe?? Way easier when I did my 1900xtx I had.

Did you alter the voltage values in RBE? Values that aren't specifically in the card's tables have been known to cause problems.

Nope didn't touch the voltages because I kinow it won't go any higher then the 1.26x. I only pushed my card to what I know it can do as well. This is a fresh install of Vista to. I litteraly reinstalled everything and started out with the new 8.11 drivers. Now I did however try with ccc installed as well at first and then like I said I didn't wipe everything spotless when I tried to reistall the drivers after flashing maybe, is that my issue?

Well did you happen to Update Direct X before installing the Drivers.

Rules to Installing for me,

Zero Fill
Partition and File System
IDE/SATA Drivers (unless if newer boards allow IDE on SATA)
OS
Windows Updates
Direct X Updates (Doesnt matter if Your XP or Vista as the Updates out are for both)
Motherboard Drivers excluding sound
Video Card
Sound
Everything Else
System Tweaks (Group Policies, Services, Registry)
Defrag

Well, I kind of jump around alot and leave out some details because I don't like spamming with to much typing but, yes all my drivers exc.. but, the one thing I haven't upgraded is my direct x... I think I will give that a go but, I did end up having to comepletely wipe out the drivers for it to recognize my clocks correctly that I flashed it for but, just the whole process has been a big PITA compared to flashing my 1900xtx. I just flashed it and was done.. one shot one time.. My friend has it and it is still a beast running at what I flashed it to. This has been one one issue after another.
