HIS Ready with HD 4830 IceQ-4

Almost a month into the launch of the ATI Radeon HD 4830, HIS is ready with its IceQ-4 model. The graphics card uses the Radeon HD 4830 at reference speeds of 575 MHz, and features 512 MB of GDDR3 memory running at 1800 MHz. The card uses the same exact PCB and cooler design, as that of the Radeon HD 4850 IceQ-4, since the GPU is pin-compatible, but the heatsink over the VRM area is lacking.

As with other ATI graphics cards in its cadre, it provides audio-routed HDMI via a dongle, ATI CrossfireX multi-GPU technology, and DirectX 10.1 support. The card is expected to hit stores soon, carrying a price-tag of €140 in Europe.

Its all just spray painted aluminum in the end. Still a damn nice cooler though.

If its cheaper than a 4850, that cooler will help it clock to past a 4850. I have no idea how much a 4850 is in euros tho.

I don't get why people are so up on the 4830, sure it can clock to about a 4850, but a 4850 clocks so far beyond a 4830 its a good size step ahead.

I have pulled 702/1051 on my 4850 with the stock cooler with no bios mods for a P8035 on a 3.2 clocked quad.

It's still a great entry level gaming card, but its far from a godsend.

Aw, ya I can definitely agree is a pretty sweet card, but that one seems a bit high priced...
Although I can't say I have owned a IceQ card before, so I don't know first hand how good that cooler is, everyone praises it though.

I bought my 4850 ICEQ 4 for 153 euro, I really dont understand why they even bothered with this card.

If it would've been a lot more energy efficient or a lot cheaper ok. But it's just a little cheaper and a little less peforming then 4850... I dont really think saving 20 euro is enough to go for the 4830 period. And those people who want to save money wont go for the ICEQ 4 but for a different brand 4850 which costs even less then this 4830..

That is one pretty sick cooler. I hate the spray painted look to it though, they should have used all copper and covered the VRMS.
